“Happy-assed” - I love it. My dog has a fuzzy butt, too. In fact, one of her nicknames is Princess FuzzyButt. Wanna see a picture? My baby dog.
My “Happy Good News” - I’m off today, getting ready to take a road trip to Duluth with El Hubbo so I can run Garry Bjorklund’s Half Marathon tomorrow morning at 6:30 AM…
My birthday is tomorrow, and I’m having a nice lazy day at work. I’ve been working out for the past three weeks, and it looks like I’m really going to stick to it this time.
We finished moving stuff into our new apartment last night, and we get Cable tomorrow, too!!
3 weeks ago I met a guy at a music show. We hit off pretty well and exchanged numbers. We’ve gone on several dates, so now I have a boyfriend who’s kind, intelligent, and laughs at my jokes. Even on our first date, I was amazed at how incredibly at ease I felt around him. I’m still at that giddy beginning-of-a-relationship stage–I feel that any happy song on the radio was specifically intended for me to hear, and I feel all excited and nervous when I realize I’ll see him in 8 hours or so.
I have to move. This doesn’t sound happy, but we are getting out of a bad situation (landlord)
It did my heart wonders when my friends heard I was moving and have all insisted they want to help. Even my co-workers are insisting they will be there to help.
A really cute little kitty has adopted us. We’re trying to find her owner, but any suggestions on what to name her would be appreciated. Green eyes, tabby-grey and white, about a year old. We think we’re in love.
My parents have decided to give me the Bug! The '71 Volkswagen Beetle! It’s yellow! It’s been in the family longer than me! It has a sunroof and a new engine and trunk space in the front! It’s the car all 5 of us would go to Lopez Island in, mom & dad in front, 2 kids in the backseat and 1 kid in the back pump! It’s the car I learned to drive on! It’s the car I let my dog ride in the front seat of! It’s the car I made out with a boy in, and left my bra behind in, forcing me to make up a reasonably plausible, non-boy-involving excuse when my mom discovered it later! The Bug!
I probably won’t get it until next spring. There are two possible scenarios:
Mom and Dad drive it out here (Minneapolis) when they come to visit, and fly home (to Seattle).
I fly out to Seattle, mom and I drive it here, mom flies back to Seattle.
