My apologies if this has been asked before, but a search on the words in my title didn’t appear to reveal anything on topic.
A new Taco Bell has been built in my town. I went there today due to an uncontrollable nacho craving and saw something a little odd. The drive-thru window had been built higher than normal. I’m terrible with estimating measurements, but it seemed to be able 6" to 8" higher than usual.
My questions are:
-
Is this a new design used in other newly-constructed drive-thrus or was this Taco Bell just built differently?
-
If it is prevelent in new construction, is it because of the popularity of SUVs?
-
Is it for the convenience of the customer or the server?
