The hijack game. win absolutely nothing but your insanity...

Oh wow, wise choice there.

RotorHead, as a fellow male poster, I have to ask you to kindly NEVER use the words “needle” and “private spot” in the same post again! Thank you!

Request accepted, with a single caveat (poiema, that’s for you). If I ever need to pit someone in a nasty way, and come up with a horrific rant that involves those words, I will use them, and merely ask that you avert your eyes.

if6was9, if you love doggies and kitties, have i got the place for you!!! and i agree with you about the needles and private parts!

rotorhead, your caveats are always welcome with me.

I’ve been trying to come up with a sentence employing the phrase “wretched caveats” but have utterly failed.* Maybe it’s because I haven’t watched television since OJ Simpson’s Great White Bronco Chase. Well, I did for a few days after 9/11, and during the first days of the Iraq invasion, but otherwise not at all. Give me a good (or even half-decent) book over TV anytime!

*OTOH, I do frequently address my cats as wretched. Does that count?

the most wretched caveat i could think of is “i love you, but…”

however, that is too much of a wretchedness to think about in a happy thread!

ETF, at first glance, it would appear that you did manage to employ that phrase in a sentence, as evidenced by the above quote.

“The wretched caveats of the Teeming Millions
Send these, the 1920’s-style death ray-zapped to me…”

a non sequitur
inserting the “death ray” phrase
wretched caveat

non sequitur another brilliant word. aren’t words the best? i love them. i think my favorite word is onomatopoeia.

I’m with Sunglasses, my favorite word at the moment is farglestabbeed.

I can’t think of a favorite word, but farglestabbeed is certainly near the top.

That reminds me. When I was studying the Russian language, my professor taught me a word that had five consecutive consonants, none of which should rightly go next to any of the others. I wish I could remember it.

speaking of professors, i knew one who’s favorite word was sesquipedallian. i don’t know if i spelled it right though.

Close. It is “sesquipedalian.” One “L”

Or the alternative spelling: squidaleepsian (for the Sunglasses and Skeezix crowd.

aaaaaaauuuuuuuugggggggghhhhhhhhh…i had one l and changed it. i stink at spelling. and typing. :frowning:

what kind of planes do you fly? or is it helios with a name like rotorhead?

I will be honest, I thought it had only one “L” but I had to look it up to be certain.

I used to instruct in airplanes- mostly small planes, single and twin-engine. haven’t done that in several months now. I have been flying helicopters exclusively for a little while. Lately, only making the occasional flight with the tv news in Richmond, VA, and preparing to move to FL to do more training.

my best friend’s husband taught helio pilots in the navy. now he is in the air force flying c-17s and loving it more than ever. i can’t think of anything greater than flying. it’s amazing to me to be up that high and just look down at everything. i just don’t like the whole landing thing.

Sunglasses and Skeezix sounds like a Jimmy Buffet song.

RotorHead, whereabouts in Florida are you headed?

[sub]I quite like squidaleepsian, too.[/sub]
