The hijack thread

I saw this great spoof on http://www.adcritic.com that shows a car commercial but without a union and professional driver and it goes out of control and hits the camera and stuff… really funny.

Well, since this thread is about cameras, I think that disposable cameras take just as good pictures as a cheap camera and are much less hassel. The only problem you can get into sometimes with the disposable ones is at night or in a dark room. With a flash, you get red eyes, but that is an attractive look for alot of people.

Also, if I am in charge of the camera at a social event, the host always has to buy more film since I just click and click and click. I do like to get those nice pictures of people putting food in the mouth

You know I love being put in charge of stuff at parties. In fact the only thing that is almost as fun as that is bringing long gone threads back to life. I remember I was put in charge of ‘Police Diplomacy’ at one party which basically meant that when the cops got called (and what good party doesn’t have the cops called on it) it was my duty to go out and talk to them. And while you’re talking with them it’s always fun to make the conversation about them. Through various convoluted segues put them on the defensive. Use biting questions like “Hey man, I got this speeding ticket yesterday man. I was wondering why they had to target me man. It makes no sense.” on a side note, when you’re handcuffed in the back of a squad car it is NOT a good idea to barf up all the beer you drank that night.

The greatest cop movie I’ve seen in a long time is Lone Star.

Speaking of movies, the greatest war movie I’ve ever seen is The General.

There was a great documentary on PBS the other night about General MacArthur, who liberated the Philippines during WW2.

My fiancee, Mae, who is from the Philippines, is a beautiful, thoughtful, very smart, considerate, delightful young woman and I love her dearly.
