It’s interesting watching this thing spread. I punched “the horror of blimps” (with quotes) into Google 4 or 5 days ago and got 14 hits. I tried it a couple of days later and got 27 hits. I tried it just now and got 135 hits!
You deserve the fame too, Scylla. I laughed my ass off the first time I read the OP, and laughed at least some on subsequent readings. You are a great writer.

For those wondering about how this is spreading, my husband and I each received an email today about this link from different friends noting that we should tell our spouses about this.
As for animals, not all animals are afraid of the blimps. My husband has one or two, and our cat, Lucy the Amazing Adventure Kitty, views it as an overly large pigeon which must be silently stalked and killed.
Since the blimp is at least six times the size of our cat, I’m glad I don’t let her outside: her willingness to take on the blimp argues an amazing lack of good cat-sense.
