The I Have No Idea of The Day, Date, or Month MMP

Hurray for Mr. Butters!

This is true. But I’m also having trouble understanding how things are threaded. I imagine it will seem normal after a while.

Happy Thorsday
and which I expect will become Soresday.

If I ever mention ordering a ton of rock again, y’all remind me it is crazy.
I am hot, sweaty, tired, covered in dirt, and have several smashed fingers. I hope I am not sunburnt.
We’re not done, but we are done enough for one day. We probably have about 200-300 more pounds to distribute, and if my analness wins out, we will be rearranging some of the rocks. The first set were 3-5 inches, these are 5-8 inches, and you can tell the difference.
I’ve already had three neighbors tell me how nice it looks.

For heat rash and such I recomment Lady MonkeyButt Powder. Great stuff.

Butters, pet boarding places should know how to handle snippy dogs.

Rireworks around here are horrible, every night for the last two weeks. Last night was especially bad.

I need a nap, and a shower, and something to eat.

Good news.

Poetic, my foot. They are covering their butts.

I had some plastic casting resin and molds for chess pieces when I was a kid. Red and blue chessmen.

I always thought of you as more bearish. That pic almost makes you look like an otter. :laughing:

Huh. This is going to take some getting used to.

I’m in Mexico, where fireworks are not happening (except for no apparent reason) anytime soon.

I’ve also been all confused about time (like swampy, I’m retired, so days of the week aren’t as meaningful as they used to be.

Haven’t read much, but will try to get back to the MMP more regularly.

In the meantime, happy [Mumble]day!

Afternoon all. Nappage has been accomplished, and snopes donation went via Paypal, so now just need to look reasonably presentable and go mail my letters. 88F outside here so glad I’m not moving tons of rocks, Sari. And it’s * Lady Anti Monkey Butt Powder* (you knew I had to goggle that name…)

swampy, nice shirts and portrait.

nettie, ain’t children wonderful…

Nemo and you also posted on the MMP, maybe not abnormal but very rare…do so more often.

OK, need to put on clothing and head out to the postal service. Take care all.

I like that idea! What would be an appropriate prize - a pinch of Ruble? If only I could ship it via Da Jungle! (I’m sorry, that was very tacky and tasteless but he’d be highly amused. Trust me.)

And looky there – the quote thingy finally worked right.

GT!!! Glad you’re back! There have been questions about the Mumper Recipe Blog and I lost the info you sent me about how to be an admin there - do you remember how to access it?

Higgs is back from the groomer and happy to be home. The house is smelling rib-a-licious, but we’ll eat them tomorrow. So now I need to figure out what FCD and I will eat.

Miss Owl - You are a sick, sick person - which explains why you and Ruble were such a good match! How’s da kitteh?

So I got to work, and there was a head on crash infront of the warehouse. :frowning:

GT
: tacklehug :

swampy, neat shirts. But they need to add “Get off mine own lawn- Lawn-viticus 3:1”

Miss Owl, :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Little_Nemo, wanna do mine? And we can call you "Fishy

Went for a walk, then hauled out the hedge trimmer and gave a buzz cut to the privet bushes and couple others that were getting shaggy. Glued up the two halves of the chess board. Then dragged out the Spyderco sharpener and re-edged all the knives in the block, which really needed it. Then fried up the leftover pork breakfast sausage and will freeze it.

This morning’s breakfast was fresh blueberry pancakes made with baking spice and orange zest. Best pancakes ever, I tells ya.

@swampbear

You’re adorable!

@FairyChatMom

I hope you got the noodle-fy-er that works like a hand crank lathe, with suction cups to hold it to the counter.

If it’s the hand-held jobbie that works kinda like a peppermill…(psst, throw it away)

@Buttercup_Smith

I’m seriously delighted with all your good news. Safe trip home i know your furbaby will be happy to see you!

I think the eye is slightly better, or maybe it’s wishful thinking. No eye-goop, so I’ve ruled out infection. I’ve also ruled out a broken stitch. Yes, from four years ago. No harm in leaving the few that are left, and docs hate monkeying with my eyes because of my history of graft rejection. Speaking of which, no signs of that, either. So whatever it is, it better resolve itself. I’d hate to go in and get a shrug.

swampy, you look so nice! Love the TV shirt. Also love doggio’s suggestion. :slight_smile: But dang it, since reading your post, I’ve been craving ribs.

Butters, if they dislike Buddy so much, maybe one of 'em could stay longer so you could retrieve him tonight. So happy you and Mr. Butters are (hopefully) outta there!

OW,I like the idea of a patch. Anyone would wear that proudly. But it’s your award, and I can see Ruble would get a kick out of the Pinch of Ruble Award.

I wish I had a lawn to mow or a shrub to clip. Maybe I’ll visit my balcony plants.

The ribs are in the fridge - I’ll reheat them on low for about 2 hours tomorrow which should have them falling off the bones. I went to Chaptico Deli and got fried chickie dinners for my sweetie and me. The dishwasher is washing and I’m about to assume the chill position.

VOW - it is the little hand-held thingie. I’ll give it a try - at worst, I wasted $7.

doggio - love your Lawn-viticus verse!!

I am done with irk for the week. [throws confetti] Well, paying irk anyway. I have plans to do some houseirk tomorrow. Namely clean out the worm bin and put some compost on my dad’s memorial garden.

BTW, since it’s been so long since I’ve darkened this thread, my dad passed away last year. Peacefully. He was 72 and ready to go. Oldest Sister’s best friend gave me and my sisters live hydrangeas at the funeral and then I went out and bought a sweet bubby bush to go on the impossible-to-mow hill. It’s now the Catamount’s Dad Memorial Bush Garden. Eventually more bushes will be added because that hill is really impossible to mow.

I also need to get my Saturday Shorts posts ready since I flaked out last week. For those who are interested here’s the whole collection so far.

Vow, Do you have the gene that makes cilantro taste like soap?

Looking mighty stylish there Swampy. I couldn’t read your shirt on the book of faces but I can on the 'puter. You better copyright that shirt 'cause otherwise I can see it becoming a highly sought after collectors item. :laughing:

We have one of those little hand-held noodlefier thingees and it works for me, but I’m good with my hands, and have the scars to prove it.

TheGirlChild drove over this afternoon. Her hubby couldn’t come 'cause of work stuff, and her son stayed home 'cause one of his best friends is home from the Marines, so it’s just her. But that’s fine.

Homemade pizza tonight, with sides to be determined. Prolly salad.

Does anybody know why Spidey has deserted us? Was it something I said?

I think that’s more than enough of me.

@Bumbazine

No, cilantro tastes like perfume to me. Cheap perfume. Cheap, pervasive perfume. I remember eating at a potluck, eager to try everything. One scoop of something had cilantro in it, so I spit the taste into a napkin. The food sitting NEXT to the cilantro-toxified item absorbed enough of the fumes that it became inedible.

When eating out, I tend to be emphatic with servers: “No cilantro. No cilantro even NEAR my food. I don’t even want cilantro mentioned while my food is being prepared!”

Thanks for the compliments y’all. I did not design the shirt. I just threw in money to get two of ‘em. The shirts are from Land’s End so they should hold up a while. I like doggio’s suggestion as well. I suggested "Mowin’ For Jesus" for the back of the shirts, but got shot down. :innocent: Gotti I’m bearish but not like covered head to toe in fur Bear. Definitely more fur than an otter, however.

Butters hope y’all were able to get back in time to retrieve Buddy, poor baby.
