Sunny, ya gotta remember that **swampy **is an old geezer who forgets and is easily confused. It’s so sad to see them old guys deteriorate right before your eyes…

Damn, I hope you get some hankies for Christmas.
Mostly, however the owner is, how shall I put it… a little erratic. He’s mostly nice, and he clearly wants to do things right, but what’s totally fine today might be totally wrong tomorrow, or even in a few hours if he’s in a different mood. The customers are almost all really nice though.
Today was a stressy day though, so today was not very good. It was just one of those days where everything went a bit wrong; I set my alarm wrong an woke up late, so I was in a mad rush getting up. It got busy early, then my co-irker was late, so we were already behind when she got in, then it just got crazy busy, with every single table full, including the ones outside even though it was literally freezing, and everyone got stressed out at everyone else 'cos two out of the three of us there are fairly new and don’t work together much, and we just don’t have a decent system yet.
Then traffic was awful going home, then when I went food shopping just now the car wouldn’t start on the way home, and kept flashing up a fault. No idea if it’s anything serious, but it’s a bit late to do anything tonight.
On the plus side, I have my favourite beer (Belgian raspberry beer) and cake, and I don’t have to get up in the morning.
Oh yes, and:
Happy Sunny Day!
I worked, I walked Gordie. I’m going out to Tir Na nOg for Trivia Night.
Happy Birthday Sunny!!!
Happy Birthday Sunny!
Unfortunately, I have gotten a bit of grey. Since my hair is light it doesn’t show up too much.
We lost power twice today. Not for long, but long enough to mean all the clocks need to be reset.
I’m not getting near as much done as I hoped to this week. Then again I never do, so not a surprise.

And now this…

Read for content? We don’t need no stinkin’ read for content!
It has rained some. No rain/tstorm/apocalypse as predicted by TWPTB however.
Happy Birthday Sunny
Nut, Hope the car gets well without costing you many $$$. My battery failed while visting my brother for T-Day, and while I have AAA, the new battery was $164!! So cars can eat money fast. Hang in there on the job, people will start blending together and odd bosses are the rule, not the exception, IMHO.
swampy, glad to see your memory is returning…
wet one, I don’t care for horses because they are likely to do something like that out of sheer dumbness (IMHO), not malevolence.
Shopping was completed (Kroger) and for once I found everything that was on my list in the quantities desired, so the larder is full once again, the freezer is packed and except for a possible bread run or two, I should be good for the new year.
Signed up to coach/referee indoor soccer for the AYSO, this weekend they are doing player evaluations, so I guess I need to clean off my shoes and get out on the gym floor. They play it in HS and Jr. High gyms in the city, within the basketball lines (called ‘futsal’ in the rest of the world) and coaching is mostly showing up at game time and doing the subsitutions.
Happy birthday Sunny!
(And no, my birthday isn’t for another five weeks. )
It just looked like someone sneezed dye on my head. What I wanted was a nice dark indigo with a few streaks of lighter purple near the front. Tonight I’ll try it again. If that doesn’t work, at least enough to live with (and it’s pretty close now, compared to what it was, particularly if I pony it up all the time), then I will walk into a salon and force someone to FIX IT. The last place refused because they didn’t want to use bleach. I wanted them to use bleach. What they recommended instead just made things worse. Arg.
Have you tried shampooing with Dawn dishwashing liquid? Don’t laugh. Lather, rinse, repeat, then condition like mad as the Dawn will strip out every last morsel of moisture and oil from the hair along with the dye. Depending on how fully bleached your hair was before dying, you may not be able to get it all out, but you’ll at least have that much more out of the way before going to the salon. And your stylist may need to bleach your hair to absolute white before starting over so things can come out even.
The things you learn when your boyfriend is a barber/cosmetologist with over 30 licensed years in the biz…
Hippo Birdies two ewe Sunny!
Swampy, you, ummm, forgots to put my, ahem, birfday check in the mail. :o
Happy Bird-day dd
Well, then happy un-birthday to you.
No, but I’ve used Body on Tap shampoo & my own 100% version - the last sip of Shower Beer.
I has a glass of the good Scotch next to me. I have an additional six months of gainful employment as got a contract extension/renewal & also just completed the first month since getting hurt that I was at the magic step count goal.
Still can’t run for at least a month, though.
I am drunk. So there.
Celebrating Sunny’s BD.
Doubled and did 2 bonus hours on top of that. I done feel like I been humped today. :smack:
Happy Birthday, Sunny Days!
Swampy, you must kill her NOW, while there is *still time!
*
**Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! ** :D:D
Hmmm. I have Dawn dishsoap as it happens. I wasn’t bleached at all before this little mess began (being a light blonde in the first place). I might just try that next.
Yay for employment and step count! You will get to the running.
I’ll take it. Spreading joy, I am.
I’ll drink to that.
Happy - I don’t even know what day it is without looking - Thorsday!
I’m up too early.
It’s a chilly 49 degrees outside, with a high of 51 predicted for the day.
No much else

I wonder why so many of my dreams take place in my childhood home? My folks sold that place in 1979, so we’re talking distant past And in last night’s episode, my ex-son-in-law was featured. Haven’t seen or heard from him in over 6 years. But the worst part was waking at 1AM and not really falling back to sleep. I dozed on and off - yeah, not restful. It’s gonna be a long day.
And today we meet our new boss. I know his name is Doug, and I’m pretty sure it’s not Doug the Pug. We shall see.
Another plus - both Tim and Andrea left me work to be done - huzzah!
Happy Thursday, December One-th!
