Whites are easier to intimidate than Hispanics? Have you done a scientific study on this? Do you have a cite? Or are you just talking out of your ass?
Also, I’m not sure you understand this, Lonesome Polecat, but white people were putting nooses in a tree to intimidate black students into maintaining a segregationist situation. I’m sorry, but that is unacceptably fucked up. It’s a symbolic threat of murder and no joking matter. Lynchings aren’t such a distant memory that we can laugh about them or blow them off as a childish prank. The kids who did it knew exactly what it meant, and therefore should have been charged with a hate crime and faced the most severe discipline the school could mete out. The fact that they didn’t was a breach of justice of grave proportions. I don’t see how anyone can argue that point.

Last, first. Yes, it was a hate crime, and should have been dealt with accordingly.
As has been noted numerous times, two wrongs do not a right, make.
I wouldn’t say that whites are easier to intimidate, it’s just that reverse discrimination has become an accepted practice. Were someone to launch the National Association for the Advancement of White People, the United White College Fund, or any other pro-white foundation, there would be cries of racism left and right.
Jesse and Al, being the spotlight whores that they are, are right there to howl when a person of color suffers injustice, whether it is real or fabricated. As “Reverends”, one would think that their dedication to truth and Biblical principles would guide their words, yet I never see or hear them speaking out against any situation, save those which appeal to their demographic of support. Their absence once the truth is known speaks volumes about them.
As was previously noted in this thread, some people automatically see blacks as the victim, no matter what.
True justices require the blindfold be worn, such that the facts of a situation, and not the color of the involved parties, define the outcome. Let me know when that happens.
