Let drooling make you think of mom’s frozen whiskey slush. Double drooling rate. Realize that if you’re going to have it tomorrow, then you are going to have to start on it tonight.

Google for “wiskey” and “slush”; accept spelling change to “whiskey.”

Find citrus gin slush recipie that sounds pretty good, too, especially since you only have frozen lemonade and cranberry concentrate rather than orange and lime which seems to ring a bell. Notice that recipie says that vodka is okay, too.

Put two cups of sugar and four cups of water in pan an bring to boil.
-
Put four cups of water in to plastic container that you aren’t entirely sure is going to be large enough for the project.
-
Add two cups of Arrow Wild Cherry Vodka. Then throw in one cup of Amaretto for shits and giggles.
-
Add one twelve ounce container each of frozen lemonade concentrate and cranberry juice concentrate. Enjoy a teaspoonful of the lemonade concentrate.
-
Decide that, since you’ve gone this far, you should throw a couple of strawberry teabags into the boiling sugar water. Do that.
-
Stand in pantry with can of whole mandarin oranges and fret. Flip coin. Put oranges back on shelf.
-
Pour boiling tea into plastic container and say, “Whew,” as you realize that it is just large enough for the concoction. Stir. Wonder what those little chunky lookin’ things are. Decide that they have something to do with the lemonade.

Wish you had some eye of newt, just to make it a proper love potion.

Clear off a flat spot in the freezer. Put lid on container. Insert into freezer.

Well? I’m dying to know how it turned out. Sounds yummy.
I was a little worried last night. This morning at about 11:00 am I pulled it out and there was slush around the sides but the middle was pretty liquid. I tested it by scraping some that stuck to the lid and it was way too strong. But then I mixed it up some and it was much better. I pulled it out about five minutes ago and it should be fully slushed in a few hours. I tried a small glass of it (I just eat it w/ a spoon & drink what melts) and it way pretty darn yummy.
I’m not sure it matches my mom’s whiskey slush—I’ll see if I can get that recipe from her and post it—but the whiskey slush is also associated w/ a lot of memories & good times. It is also heavenly delicious.
Nevertheless, from what I’ve tested so far, the js_africanus Summer Slush Jamboree looks like it is going to be a total winner. I think the Amaretto is a case where impuslive behavior has paid off.
The jury is in. It’s yummy. I’m drooling just thinking about it.
