I’am going out to bring in my mom’s flag, and get some take out before it gets dark. It’s going to be scary in the streets around here.
Quality time at the cee-mint pond was wunnerful as well as dindin. Everyone is gone and chill mode ensues. As I always say, I love company, comin’ and goin’.

I worked a short day, came home napped. Dinner tonight is burgers with microwave corn on the cob with jalapeno blue cheese butter
GMTA. Or as Yellowbeard would say, “With your head on my shoulders, we could wreck civilization!”
She shouldn’t have been Karving her initials in it with Svenge’s interspace toothbrush.
We don’t like taxation without representation. We’re not overly fond of taxation with representation.
We shall now retire to the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time. OYKW goes back to irk tomorrow, poor thing. I shall engage in yahd irk and at some point clean the kitchen and bathrooms. Retirement is not for the feint of heart.

I am not imprisoned. The chipper left shortly after it returned. We are talking giant commercial sized chipper. Anyway, i had a good nap while my beef stew was cooking. I got up and added the veggies and supper has been et. I also cleaned the kitchen and did some laundry so not a totally wasted day.
I have the cat inside ready for the onslaught of kabooms. Was thunderstorming for a while which suits me but our event at irk probably does not like it. Lots of man power and time just to be rained out.
I guess tomorrow will be another Moanday.

I’m hearing some unsettlingly large stuff going off outside. Haven’t checked on the cat’s whereabouts in a while, but I will not be surprised if she’s hiding in the bed.
I got woke up by a couple large booms. I am almost hoping they were shotgun blasts. I don’t want anything less getting me out of bed at 2am.
The neighbors had some amazingly large fireworks. I thought you had to be a city council to have booms that big. Still, fun was had, and no injuries that I am aware of.
We went on a family bike outing. Thinking back, I haven’t ridden my bike in almost 30 years. We had fun.
Hubby’s back to work tomorrow.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. It’s drizzling.
And taunting them a second time.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 75 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 95 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. No doubt the heat index will be in the low hunnerts. ICK! The big plan today is mowage and to clean the bathrooms and kitchen. There are assorted leftovers in da fridge which shall comprise dindin. Good thing we’re both good with leftovers.
No really big KA*BOOMS last night at least that I could hear from inside da cave. Last year the neighbors behind and the neighbors two doors up set off a lot of fireworks but not this year. Guess the novelty wore off. Also so far no reports of anyone blowin’ up.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I shall prepare for mowage. The neighbors are all gone to irk by around seven-thirty so I can get started then. Yay for that.

I kinda heard some kabooms last night, but nothing terrifying. The only thing that got Higgs all het up was a dog barking on TV - she had to bark back.
Sometime in the middle of the night, **FCD **and I both woke and heard an owl hooting. It had to have been close because our windows were closed.
Back in the office - I need to figure out what the heck I was doing before my looooooong weekend. I didn’t leave myself any notes - so which pile was I attacking??? 
At least it’ll be a short 3-day week.

Happy camel day, mumpers! Did you enjoy your kaboom day, those that celebrated? We don’t officially get to blow stuff up legally until November but that doesn’t stop the folks where I live. Apparently we blow stuff up to celebrate every last eurpean public holiday, independence day and probably Russian grandmother’s birthday too. Some days you wonder if it’s fireworks or they’re blowing each other up with something more serious.
Missed half the week due to a couple of crazy stupid deadlines for things that are entirely unrealistic when we are short-staffed but we have to keep to them as much as we can 'cos we have two systems working together with a very fragile link between them. Too many users and they’ll both have a flounce!
'tis getting hot over here again, we have nasty humid weather but the promise of thunderboomers tonight. Something to look forward to!
