The Kitty Report

Thursday, Catmom sent me a picture: ‘Findus is lying on my socks next to Goo.’ If only Abbey would curl up next to Findus.

Otto has a very kind kitty face.

It would be a disservice to yourself to not keep that joyful face around.

Otto was found at an auto dealership…

To everyone else: I’m still working my way through the denial phase. Leave me be.

Ah.

I hadn’t had my coffee yet. . .

So how’s Otto settling in with his new pride?

Quite well. He got snipped last Wednesday. He and the youngest of our three cats, Mario, have taken a liking to each other.

The other two, Irving and Ophelia, have not been so pleased, but they are slowly coming around.

My daughter (autistic) has an aide that comes over once a week. The aide has a friend who is looking for a cat. We’ve extended an invite for the friend to come over and meet Otto, but we haven’t gotten a response yet. If this doesn’t work out, we’ll decide the next steps then. We’re not against keeping him at this point.

The aide’s friend has decided that they don’t want a cat after all, because their apartment is too small. When my wife told me this a little while ago, I said “is it time to stop fooling ourselves, then?” “Yup.”

Four cats it is!

An excellent number.

I think so too.

There are four excellent cats (and one dog) living in my household.

Findus has had his first supervised field trip into the catio. He wants to go back out.

I’m not at all surprised.

Findus and Goo.

Very sweet!

Now if only we could get Abbey into the pile…

That would be ideal.

In December, I reported Goo weighed 8.4 pounds. We’ve been feeding her thyroid-safe wet food, and putting medication in it. She just came back from the vet, and she’s up to 10 pounds. She had another blood draw, and we’ll find out how that turns out eventually.

Yay!!

Yay for Goo!
