I attended this Dopefest in Cincinnati on Friday, December 14, 2001. It took place at a restaurant called Buca di Beppo. Sat across from The_Mermaid. Had a good time.
Though I believe it is spelled “Raggmopp” by Cecil in the song.
Sea serpents might not have focused on spelling in sea serpent schools.
There’s a last time for everything, and so, in due course, there will inevitably, eventually, be a last Dopefest. But I imagine that the lasts of most things aren’t planned as such. There’s just a plan for another, like all of the others before it, and then no other ever gets planned.
As a matter of fact…I do have a ponytail, and a drawer and a half of tye dye.
The US visa requirements to reveal one’s social media keep getting more stringent.
At this point they do not ask for one’s Doper handle. We are below the radar. However, ironically, we may reach a point where the reason I wouldn’t attend an SDMB dopefest is the SDMB.

I think it makes more sense to have a dopefest in Canada if we want any Canadians to attend.
Yeah, I’m the same. It’s going to take a lot of work on the part of the next administration to get me back, spending my money there.
Here’s a hint, whoever takes over the reins: Get good at sincerely apologizing, because you’re going to be doing it repeatedly. Especially to your friends and allies.
