The Last of Us - tv show discussion

Farscape fans will recognize him as “DK”, Crichton’s friend from Earth who only appeared in 4 episodes. It’s hilarious that a minor character on Farscape is now the most successful. I swear I thought Ben Browder was going to be huge.

There have been only 3 episodes. It’s a weekly show, not a season dropped all at once.

Ooooh, then I can catch up in one day!

I never thought he was a really good actor, just handsome. LOL

Apropos of nothing, retweeted from an instagram story (regrammed?):

“Last of Us and Sinamarink have opened to wild success this year bc their style of horror doesn’t rely on jump scares or gore but simply on showing audiences what it would be like to live in Alberta.”

Greg in (mostly) zombie free Alberta.

This whole show is world-class cinematography! I just watched the third episode, and had a feeling shortly before going in that this was gonna be a good episode… coming off of two great ones already… and boy! … was I unprepared for how hard I cried. I am really glad to see I am not alone. Oh my… absolutely beautiful & devastating…

I’m finding it legit better than the video game. I liked the game, but must be one of the few that did not love it.

Show is better. I wonder if they will strictly follow the main storyline…especially the controversial choices in Part 2?

Someone started a thread about re-watching The Magicians recently, this episode reminded me of the one where Quinten and Elliot spent a life together. Also really well done.

It was me, that was well done and didn’t interrupt the flow of the story early in the show.

My favorite thing about that episode is that they didn’t cop out. Both of them remember the whole thing even when it is “reset” to normal.

IMHO he is more handsome now and also a better actor.

By happy coincidence s3e5 “A Life in the Day” is the episode that was next and I’m watching it now.

He was on Guiding Light for two years, so he had time to perfect his American accent.

I read that the crew had to spend two weeks in quarantine as soon as they got to Alberta, before they could even start filming.

Season 3 was the peak of the show by a lot. Just loved it.

Well, I am shook. A beautiful love story in the middle of the zombie apocalypse, in a TV show based on a PS4 game. What a weird and wonderful world we live in.

Apropos of nothing

I’ve enjoyed the show so far. I wonder if Joel and Ellie harvested any of the strawberries before the left.

I don’t think they would have known about the strawberries. There were on someone else’s property.

And about ten years ago.

In the show, Joel is 56. I’m 56, and I know who Linda Ronstadt is and I’ve heard that song many times. My childhood was in the 70s–how could I not have heard Linda Ronstadt? My wife is 52 and she knew it as well.

I’m 55 and I certainly know Linda Ronstadt and many of her songs. I don’t know that song.
