Look, I’m not saying he’s a bad guy. I’m only saying that he’s received similar polite suggestions from others and ignored them. That’s OK, because he’s not obligated to bow to the whims of other users. But let’s not pretend that he’s sensitive to how he’s perceived by other users and modifies his behavior on that basis. He posts what he wants to post whether others participate or not.

These posts are all from yesterday, shortly before the ATMB thread was posted. In that ATMB thread Miller states that Zeldar had been asked to dial it back. When did that happen?
Oh thank god, I’m not the only one posting that they thought they were the only one who felt this way. And that includes not being pissed off at him or anything; he seems like a good guy. Polls, data and stats are his big thing and I can kinda see how working with them might feel precise and detailed and orderly and feeling good about that (not claiming that’s why he loves poll threads).
This is said with tongue firmly in cheek: But who knows, man? What if Zeldar is playing a long con here and gathering personal information in tiny, freely-given innocuous bits? Fools, the lot of ye! 
I don’t know, and don’t care, about the exact time line of the mod requests vs the posts. However, you’ve got zero evidence that he ignored requests by posters and responded only to requests by the mods. He was polite and cooperative in both cases.
The last board I was one which got infected by one obsessed individual shut down.
Maybe these are the harbingers of doom…
You are correct, sir. I thought for sure I’d seen at least one post from someone asking him to back off on his polls, only to be politely rebuffed. I cannot find such a post, and I’m frankly tired of looking. I will concede that I was in error, and that he never refused a polite request from another user to dial it back.
But holy fucking shit. I just waded through a bunch of those threads and cannot believe it took so long for someone to say something to him about starting all those threads.
Someday BigT, maybe when you grow up and start drawing welfare and get a crack whore pregnant, maybe then you will start to give a message board like this the significance it deserves. “No one would notice I was gone”? Jeez, I can’t think of a single thing of less importance to my life than that, I can’t think of one insult that could miss the mark so entirely.
This message board may be your life BigT, it may be important to you and thats very sweet. But not everybody needs an internet message board to fulfill that role in their life, and so not everybody is as concerned about their message board legacy as you appear to be. I hope someday you will finally become a productive member of society and gain some perspective on this.

I have seriously considered creating a thread like this. Zeldar has taken all the fun out of CS; it’s become a chore to read the OP’s name, before reading the thread title. And in the long run, they’re self-defeating: I’ll never again open a Zeldar thread, no matter what or where. I guess some people simply have too much time on their hands.
No. PM’s are for taking care of things in private, without embarrassing someone who has never hurt anyone.

Well, if we spend too much time talking about how the mods have responded in the other thread, this should be in ATMB…
So… He’s annoying, but not exactly a jerk… How about getting him his very own “Zerldar’s Polls” subforum? He can make polls about favourite toothbrushes, and no-one’d even know.
Maybe program a few bots to randomly vote and post stuff like “Wow! Didn’t think option 3 would be so popular!!” I doubt he’d notice.
Kind of a mini message board Matrix, but without the trenchcoats or any of the cool.
I see that after having 2 days for things to settle, he’s down to 22 threads on the first page of CS. Baby steps, people.
In fairness, as long as people keep posting to them, they’ll stay there. A lot of them have moved way down the list. I can’t see that he’s started any new ones.
Please don’t put words in my mouth. I never said I “hate” him; I just don’t want anything to to with him or his endless mind-numbing polls. And I don’t believe that he “loves film;” he just loves repititious, mindless tedium . . . and that hardly qualifies as “deviation from the norm.” Someone doesn’t have to be a racist or sexist or homophobe in order for me to want to avoid having anything to do with him.
