It’s old enough slang that my students roll their eyes at me when I use it.
Without Lionel Ritchie, seems like it’s the Pips, without Gladys Knight.
I figured that was case but still want them/him to tell trump to shove it where the sun don’t shine.
Ok that’s an unusual twist on the usual old band line up ![]()
Yeah, got popular with the video game Among Us and that’s from 2018. Probably only slang for the old people now!
It has a certain a peel.
Walter Orange is also the guy who sang: She’s a brick…house.
Though for us real old fogeys (well the British ones who are into particular cultural influences) it’s short for Suspect Person. A part of the vagrancy act that was primarily used by the British police as a means to harass afro Carribean youth in 1980s Britain…
This is something I’ve been confused about for a while now. Why does Kid Rock get any press at all? He had a couple of hits back in, what, 1999? And then he promptly vanished. In recent years his name has been popping up again, because of his association with Trump.
Was he ever relevant?
More, why does he get not only an Apache flyby of his house, but an actual flight? Who da fuq is this asshole? He looks more like he’d be happy going down town in a Camaro.
JAQ, former Camaro (1973) owner. I miss it
AP has said that Milli Vanilli has backed out.
He shifted from hip-hop to country rock in the 2000s, and had a couple of top 40 hits (better than he ever charted as a rapper).
Mostly now, he gets social media time because he’s one of the few “name” celebrities (along with Nugent) who is proudly and publicly full-on MAGA. And, yes, neither of them have been “relevant” — as far as the music scene — for a long time.
C+C Music Factory is just a shell now too. It was originally two producers, making music with various vocalists cycling through, with Freedom Williams and Zelma Davis being the most famous. One of the producers, David Cole, died. The other C, Robert Clivillés, is listed as a past member on Wikipedia. Freedom Williams bought the name in the early '00s.
Since only half the original group is there, I’d think they should be “Semi Vanilli”
“Milli Vanilli” would have to be only 1/1000 of the original group.
But the original group was Milli Vanilli. With half the group gone, they would be 500 Micro Vanilli.
Didn’t he do some modeling as “Milli The Model”?
I have zero idea about their career progression after they were blown up for lip syncing. So, probably? Probably on some MTV show, some other reality show for washed up stars, etc.
The remaining guy isn’t too bad of a singer actually. Won’t win any awards, but definitely good enough to sing Milli Vanilli fluff without embarrassing himself.
I rather feel sorry for him (Rob Pilatus). He was made a fool of in a record producer’s quest to make money, and made into a villain when he was just doing what he had to do to survive.
Looks like he’s jacking off two giraffes.
Actually, Rob is the one who died in '96. The remaining one is Fab Morvan.
My bad.
