The Lost & Found MMP

First coat of paint is on the last part of the stairwell. And I brought up all the rest of my pottery pieces to dust, sort, and pack to take to the store. When I get the sorting done, I can do the last coat of paint then declare it done, except for putting down the tile and the trim.

**FCD **just called - he’s on his way home from Johnstown, so he should be here for supper. He was afraid he might be really late this time but apparently not.

After I surf a bit too cool down, I’m going to go sort pottery. Then paint. rah.

And that, kiddies, is what retirement is all about!

Thiscracked me up - just had to share.

Hee MOOOOOOM! That looks a lot like most eighth grade boy photos.

I am now unmotivated. I was motivated earlier and got a buncha stuff done but all motivation has now left da bear.

Hope the ear infection is not too bad BooFae.

AWWWWW BBBobbio.

ShinyCat goin’ out for sushi is not a bad thing. Goin’ out for sushi is a good thing. Goin’ out for a big ol’ plate of [del]fart blossoms[/del] brussels sprouts would be a bad thing however.

Yeah, go get motivated. Le sigh.

:smack:

My first thought too but she was at work every time it happened except for the charger coming back. She would have had to be sitting at her desk, get a hunch I had left something on the stove, rushed home on the bus and hid it, gone back to work and then come home at the usual time acting all normal. And for the few who met her, they know she isn’t that good at acting or normal.

I’ve been there, played around Dixmont State Hospital back in its closed but standing years, and hung out at the haunted ancient bar in Old Economy and never got much of a vibe other than “interesting” from any of them. Cool places but didn’t “feel” a thing. The old jail down Williamsburg VA on the other hand --------- I was one of the people picked to come down and portray the French taken captive by Washington at Jumonville’s murder. They had us camped in the meadow by the Capital; what was called the Ox Meadow going by the gunsmithy. They also gave us access to the jail and permission to sleep there if we wanted to. I heard things coming from the second floor that still make my back crawl. According to what I read since that was where the crazies and infirm were kept. And I suspect a few may still be around. Or this dude named Travis found a way to punk a darkride/fx nut without him catching on. Either way its a place I avoid after dark now.

{VunderBob} My sympathies. :frowning:

We get a lucky break with the boyos: They are moving to Montana and were supposed to leave today, but apparantly there is a legal issue regarding their step-brothers’ mom not wanting to sign off on the papers, so we will see them this weekend, yay!!

Of course we already cleaned out their room…:smack: But all the furniture is still there, and I just found a bag of donate-able stuff that has their swimsuits in it, so at least we can still do that.
And FCM, I am SOOO saving that pic for the eldest, who graduated 8th grade a week ago and is STILL complaining about the short haircut he had to get for it, lol!!

Swampy, on this one, I must says youse wrong. Had some grilled brussel sprouts at fancy-shmancy tasting lunch yesterday; they was yummmmmy. OTOH, Raw fish & seaweed is what I catch, not eat, at least not until I get it to sit on da grill for a while.

My day was partially spent WFH waiting for Verizon to not come for service. Idjits in call center don’t know how to do anything other than read script; no brains needed for that job. My problem was intermittent interwebs access, it’s up & down. So when they tested it yesterday, it was up, so they closed the ticket as no problem found. Now they are (supposedly) coming next week.
Had to go into work to get my passwoid reset; because you mustbe on the network for that & I couldn’t get on the 'puter to get to the VPN to get onto said network. Grrrr! In other words, I’ve lost my patience, soon to be followed by (my few) marbles.

The painting is done! Huzzah!!! I’d fling confetti with wild and reckless abandon, but I’m just too tired to care right now. The new light needs to be installed, and I think we’ll need a backing plate for it because the hole around the junction box was cut oversized. We had some rosettes from when the basement was an apartment - if I can find one of them, it’ll work just fine.

Anyway, when **FCD **gets home, we’re going to install the handrail, so after 4 years, we can use the stairs safely. No idea when we’ll get around to the rest of the stuff - I’m hoping we can finish the whole thing this weekend.

Meanwhile, I’s tahred!

Just had a brain storm for another comic issue about a character that I’d been trying to come up with a better way to introduce. Yay!

I need to think of a new first name for her though.

When next this Ghostbusters stuff occurs, I believe I’d call my Spouse at work on the house phone, just to say hello. :dubious:

Not to mention the confetti would stick to the fresh paint. :smack:

Yo! Americans!! Happy 4th of July!!!

(whddyamean it’s too early. I waited until after midnight to post this!!

Well, it’s midnight here.

So there!

:D)

Chag Independence Day Sameach!

I think…

Why thank you Special1!

I did sneak out of irk early today. Matter of fact not too long after my last post. Color me bad. However, I was productive. I made cheese thangs and a green sallit. We just finished dindin which, as I said earlier, was smoked chikin sliced over green sallit. YUM!!! There’s even ice cream for later. YAY!!!

Spidey the only acceptable thing to do with [del]fart blossoms** brussels sprouts is chunk 'em at those whippersnapper delinquents that walk on mah lawn. They are also suitable for use as punishment for bad childrens. ICK!

Gentlemen, Please!
Steamed until they are bright green, served with hollandaise sauce.
Shame on you Swampy, with your cooking abilities, shame!

Close. Chag Atzma-oot Sameach

חג עצמאות שמח

Roasted with onions and bacon = Yummy!

I left work about. 3.30 ish. Everyone else had so I thought why not as I had finished up all my major projects for today. Since I have been home I have folded clean towels and put them away and unloaded the dishwasher and I am headed to clean our bathroom in a second. As I don’t want to spend tomorrow cleaning.

I had lunch late so I am not hungry at the moment and **mr ems **
cheated on his diet today and ate pizza buffet at lunch so he is still stuffed. There is grilled chicken and romaine lettuce if he wants something later I will have a nectarine and some melon and maybes some pita chips and hummus if I get hungry. Tomorrow will be burgers on the grill alongside salad and fried yellow squish. Yummy!

Don’t be too hard on him. Nobody’s perfect…

Close. In fact, only about 2 months off… :stuck_out_tongue: (Israeli Independence Day is generally late April / Early May)

The Hebrew is perfect, though

Recipe, recipe!
Give!

I bet Swampy can’t make it!

She is cute, and a scholar.

A Woman of Valor!

[del]Fartblossoms[/del] Brussels sprouts with bacon?!?! What have y’all got against bacon?
