As I recall it, it wasn’t that they “set out in unsafe conditions”, it’s that they created the unsafe conditions. The larger boats were tearing around, creating wakes that swamped a lot of the smaller boats, in an event that is in no way a metaphor for their entire philosophy.

I hate to be a downer in this anti-MAGA lovefest, but I have to call this one false. Trump did not stare into the sun. If he had, he’d be mostly, if not entirely, blind because of it. In the video I saw, he briefly glanced at the sun. Characterizing a brief glance as “staring” is disingenuous at best.
What’s comical is the evidence of what his posse thinks of his intellect: “Don’t look! Don’t Look!”
