I just got one of those sappy e-mails that are supposed to be inspirational. I won’t bore you by posting it here, but I’ll give you the main points.
It told the story of a guy who was beaten nearly to death, his face crushed, who spent over a year in the hospital recovering. When he came out, his face was so horribly disfigured no one would give him work, so he became “the man without a face” in a circus sideshow act. He became so depressed that he nearly killed himself until some priest helped him and he got plastic surgery.
He is now known as Mel Gibson. The movie, “The Man Without A Face” was based on his life.
Is this true?
