The thing that thrilled me the most about the trailer was the brief appearance of an Amani. My favorite two blink and you’ll miss them characters from the OT are Amanaman and Ephant Mon, both from Jabba’s palace. Amanaman was one of the last Star Wars action figures produced post-Jedi, in the “Power of the Force” line of figures in 1985. But stores were stopping carrying Star Wars toys by then and I actually didn’t find out the figure (or the character, even) existed until I saw a carded one for over $100 as an adult as at a Star Trek convention. I immediately fell for it, but not enough to pay $100+ for one. (It would have been a good investment, the carded original now sells for several times that much.)
He was eventually re-released in the Power of the Jedi line in 2001 and I bought 2 or 3 of them (along with 2 or 3 Ephant Mon, which were released for the first time in Power of the Jedi).
Here’s what he looked like in the movie
And here’s an Amani (maybe Amanaman?) that shows up for one second or so in the trailer
