Ho Ho Ho…time to get the MELBOURNE Chrissy-do happening.

Calling all Victorians…'bout time we got serious about this Christmas party thing eh?

Redboss last month offered us his joint between Xmas and New Year as the venue for us to do some serious celebrating. Now that will depend to a great extent upon how many of us are intending to gather together I guess…having the revelling hordes descend might not be such a good idea if there’s too many…of course, it could make for some very close and intimate connections happening out on the patio!!

So, numbers folks. Who’s in (sometime between 25th and the 31st) and who’s too chicken? Oh, and Redboy, does the offer still stand, or do we need to find some barbie space down by the Yarra?

C’mon all you Melbourne ‘lurkers’ and some of you ‘not-so-lurkish’ sluggards. We Know You’re Out There, and it’d be great to meet ya’s over a beer/champers/chamomile tea (that’s for Leechbabe :wink: ) and a slab of burnt protein.

And while we’re using his name in vain here, has anyone heard from Redboss lately? He hasn’t posted anything here for a month or two.

OK - ignore that last post - I just checked the G’dope board, and sure enough, there he was.

Which side of town is Redboss on? This may make all the difference to me, or it may not.

Caught@Work I am happy to give a lift to dopers who need one. I’m living out Bundoora way presently so if you are out that way or are not but can catch a train to the CBD from home then I can offer my services as chauffer.

Yeah, Redboss is alive and kicking. Funnily enough, I bumped into him on my way to work this morning…small world wot!!! Geez he’s handsome in a suit. :wink: I mean, he’s handsome normally, but he DOES scrub up well. :stuck_out_tongue:

Now, if we throw open the ‘best’ day nomination it’s going to result in at least five days getting chosen…so I’m going to chuck down the gauntlet and suggest Saturday 28th December.

And Leechy, I reckon the bring a plate routine would be the best…or we can bring individual bits of meat plus a salad/bread/whatever if it ends up being a bbq.

Sounds good (I’m out west, but not too far west).

I hate to be a wet blanket (but if you are one, you might as well live with it ;)), but I can’t make it on Saturday - how about any day that isn’t Friday night/Saturday?

How about Sunday everyone? Might be easier anyway for folks from out of town who may be visiting rellies etc in Melbourne during the break.
