I doubt that, honestly, since he’s donated a shit-ton of money to PETA and the Humane Society since 2007.
Still, he really is that special. If he could just complete more than 60% of his passes- as Donovan McNabb finally did in year 6- he’d be undefendable. I’m not saying he ever will be that accurate, just that the reward for a coach who got him there would be huge.

This storyline is mind bogglingly stupid. Jaws is being an idiot on MNF. Vick is a backup, pure and simple. There isn’t a team in the NFL that would even put Vick in a competition for the #1 job let alone give him a chance to take an established starters job. McNabb knows damned well that Vick has been out of football for a long time and when Vick get’s on the field, IN WEEK 5, that it’ll be as a 3rd string developmental QB at best.
McNabb won’t see this as any kind of slight. He’s not an idiot. When McNabb’s contract is up, if Vick worked himself back to where he once was, then there’ll be reason to talk. Now it’s pure media created fake drama.

Vick’s contract includes a $5.2 million option for year 2. If the Eagles decide to exercise that option after this season, that’s an awful lot of money for a backup QB.
Damn you, Rebo – I just noticed that you snuck one in earlier than my Week 9 prediction. Barring practice field (or parking lot) injury, you’ve got this one all but wrapped up – no way are the Eagles going to voluntarily hold him out that long. Hmmm…maybe we can get a tie off of Week 8.

From what I’ve been hearing, Vick and McNabb are friends, and McNabb actually lobbied for Vick to come to Philly.
I heard that too. Apparently McNabb hosted Vick when he visited Syracuse as a recruit, and they’ve been friends since.
