The Mix Tape Game

Hüsker Düde et all post new rounds whenever there’s little activity on the old ones

15 for Biggirl
10 for cainxinth
2 for gex gex

Round 5: cainxinth’s list scored me an unspectacular 17.

Round 6: an 8 for gex gex, which I can live with, given the degree of difficulty.

And now it’s time for…Round 7 - The 2003 CanCon Challenge!!!

It’s a CD of 2003 songs made specifically for my radio show, which requires me to play at least 50% Canadian content.

Round 7: 16

Round 7 - 21

16 for Treviathan

Niice! What did you miss?

The song “Gentle Robots” by Boylion (this is the band with an old Nintendo cheatcode as their album title, right? I’ve listened to the album in my friends car once, but I can’t remember any of the songs though) and “Zutto” by The Boredoms.

Round 7: 21/38 – damn it!

BTW, this looks like a great mix Treviathan, Canada is hot shit these days. Have you heard the KC Accidental album “Captured Anthems For An Empty Bathtub”? “Nancy and the Girdle Boy” is my favorite instrumental of the year.

I’d kill to have my own radio show.

  2. Grant Hart – 2541
  3. Consonant – John Coltrane’s ‘My Favorite Things’
  4. One Last Wish – This Time

I made this a couple of weeks ago, in anticipation of spring, it’s got that feel too it, I think.

Round seven: 9

Only 7 on this last round! Yikes …

I’ll put my list up tomorrow!

Round 8: 13

I knew almost all the people but none of the songs (except “Here Come the Warm Jets”).

Round 7- Either 5 or 6 (I know the name Death Cab for Cutie, but do I know any of their music? I like Canadian bands…but like now defunct at the drive-in :D)
