The MMP is here

Too bad there isn’t a Climax next door to Intercourse, PA.

The sloth is almost over.:frowning: And to Spaz and MBG on the FB comments: :stuck_out_tongue:

MBG, I hear ya. I was drinking outside at a biker bar in 95 degree weather, and my beer was cold to the last sip.

Pancakes and bacon et. MMMMMMMMMM… what is it about breakfast food at dindin time that makes it so good!

I forgot to mention this little tidbit re the weddin’ doin’s. There was a man there in a wifebeater! Nice slacks. Nice shoes. But, wearin’ a wifebeater. To think, I was told I could not wear a tubetop and spandex shorts!

Yep, lovely day. Mmmm. swampy, have I mentioned I don’t have AC…and don’t need it? It’s up to 68F now, I have the house open, it’s awesome. I sat outside for a while earlier but came in so I don’t go from white to red. I burn very easily these days. I do love summer up here – well, late springish, I don’t really count it as summer until July.

A wifebeater at a wedding? WTF?

I came home and killed some lubber grasshopppers eating all my plants, then I celebrated with wine, sauteed zucchini and baby carrots and a nice tilapia fillet. I have some Key Lime pie for dessert later. I’ve been craving it since the lemons vs limes thread in CS.

Tomorrow I will make a LARGE batch of chocolate chip cookies. (As in about 300 or so cookies.)

Taking orders and bribes starting… Now.

I haven’t had proper chocolate chip cookies in AGES. :: jealous ::

I’m leaving for the US this Thursday, yay. Definitely not looking forward to the whole Seoul - Hong Kong - London - Chicago - Dallas flight over those two days, but what can you do. I shall knit and read and hopefully get some sleep as well somewhere along the way.

:: hugs for Taters ::

Wave as pass Chicago!

Sounds like a long and tiring trip, Haze. We’ll expect updates along the way, of course.

Mmmmm, cookies sound good.

Seems to me the spandex would have been more appropriate, swampy. Wow.

I seem to have skipped dinner. Had a big salad for lunch at Applebees and had a bunch of trail mix somewhere late afternoon…and a couple of peapods off the vine while gardening, but that’s it.

Spent much of the afternoon reading for book club later this week. Read some here at home and then went out to the coffee place around the corner and sipped an iced latte and read for a couple of hours. Then, sinced the promised storms had failed to materialize, I spent a couple of hours in the garden, planting the remainder of the impatiens (finally! yay!), a couple of zinnias, a couple of blue salvias, and a couple of bells of Ireland. Looks like it might not rain Wednesday, Thursday and Friday so that I can spend a couple of hours each evening finishing up with the planting. (Please! Please! Please!).

Went for a walk after gardening and admired the fireflies. There seem to be lots this year.

And now, somehow, it’s bedtime and I haven’t quite relaxed enough to fall asleep. Guess I’ll read for a while and maybe finish my book (I’ve only got maybe an hour to go - its The Kids are All Right, no relation to the movie that came out earlier this year. I really like it.

I wanted to comment on more, but can’t remember what, so here are some all-purpose hugs.

It’s the end of an era. Where will the next Weird Al or Tom Lehrer be discovered?
