Laundry is in - I love the smell of line-dried clothes! **FCD **is home. Chickie and noodles for supper. Sun has gone in and it’s overcast. But I was able to have the house open for a bit, so yay for that! And from the looks of the long range forecast, spring just might get here on Sunday. We shall see.
I have a meowing alarm clock of my own, but she’s not terribly consistent about what time she starts the “time to get up and feed me” campaign.
Of course, you also now have a dog to help with that (is she still a puppy or an adult by now?).
We had window-rattlingly loud thunder in south Sacramento. The cat spent a while under the bed, and was still acting mental (even more than her normal, that is) the next day.
Rough weekend, mostly due to lack of sleep. From Friday noon-ish to about 3am Sunday, I didn’t sleep at all, then managed six hours around DH’s “my watch died and needs to be replaced ASAP” drama. Managed nine hours last night (with serious OTC assistance), even with his electric shaver deciding it needed new heads last night (at least he was reasonably calm about this). Stressing about surprise expenses does not help my sleep. Nor do cramps.
Today’s going to be minimal as far as productive. I have a bowl of peaches and cream instant oatmeal next to me, which is breakfast. An essential load of laundry, which was washed yesterday, is now in the dryer, so DH will have clean work clothes for tomorrow. I do need to put away clean dishes so I can refill the dishwasher (sigh). I don’t think I’ll bother with much else today. Might not even bother getting dressed. Nightshirt will do. There’s enough assorted leftovers on hand that dinner is covered.
I’ve learned to take very little seriously on April 1. I can appreciate a good joke as much as anyone, but very few AFD jokes are much above grade-school level, IMO. Did like The Ursine One’s contribution.
Some time in the next couple of days, I do need to deal with dyeing my hair. Job fair Wednesday, so must be presentable. Taco Bell doesn’t sound all that exciting, but we’re at a point where need for additional income takes priority.
Ah, FairyChatMom, it’s been awhile since I thought about clotheslines. When I was a kid, everyone had one. Now, if I’m looking over old family photos, I point them out to any of the young ones nearby. I don’t have any pictures of wringers, but I can explain those, if need be.
She’s 8 months old, but she seems to have learned to hold her bladder thru the night now. **FCD **takes her out usually right before 10, and she’s been good to go as late as 7AM, so yay. But I get up at 5 and feed her anyway while my sweetie is in the shower.
Supper is cooking - chickie and noodles primavera - it smells pretty good.
C’mon Flytrap, the link says it was used in a bordello, surely you have some familiarity with it. :dubious:
In :smack: news, I’m a contractor. No OT was allowed last year. They finally allowed it this year & I’ve been working some every week. Now that it is starting to get slow, I got a letter from my employer in the mail today. Starting this week, we will be paid 1½ wages for OT hours. Why didn’t they allow it the past three months where it would have meant something?
Er lemme explain, note the position of the foot rests and the article notes it was used "so he could enjoy 2 at once. It seems to me the the “ladies” were face to face, one “missionary” and one “doggie”. There do seem to be other possibilities, might have to build one and try it out.

I live where I do for a genuine reason - a really decent quality of life for the kiddos (and me and the Lady sangfroid, of course) but it does come at a price sometimes. Those dang Canad-juns are always shedding their cold all over the place! Alberta clipper, my butt. Time to retire the cold, people.
Won’t somebody think of the seedlings??
April, bugs generally don’t squick me out much, but I does NOT like the creepy crawlies doin’ stuff behind my walls. Nonono…
Hope you are able to solve the problem - wishing you good luck.
Are you invitin’ Spidey, Jim and I to a demonstration?
Dindin was ham, green beans and scalloped N.O.T. I promised OYKW no ham for tomorrow. Instead, I have a nice pot roast simmerin’ in a slow cooker. In a bit I shall turn it off to let it cool down and finish cookin’ it tomorrow. I could let it go until it’s done tonight but I foresee an earlyish beddy bye time as I’m tahrd.
****Ok so I looked at flytraps/Edward VII chair again, there is a lot you can do with it, especially if the “ladies” are flexible and into eachother as well. For instance one could stand with feet in upper stirrups, facing away and use uprights to support with hands while the other could lie on the cushion. Really useful, I am going to Home Depot now:eek:
Somewhere at lunch today I managed to lose my work access card  I can’t get in the building and worst of all once I am in I can’t go and pee as the bathrooms are outside of the badge access area.
Traveling is gonna suck for the next two weeks for my new job as I will have to be visitor everywhere I go. Another one is on order though. Le sigh.
In other news it looks like the mortgage is going to go through! House appraised $20k higher than the purchase price so that coupled with this is a relocation deal as was the short sale means it should go through according to the loan processor and supervisor. Still waiting on final review though but that is good news we think
