So it might as well be me. Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis a very cloudy, drizzly 60 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 78 and probably rain throughout the day. Then we shall have a cool down into the 60s durin’ the week then hopefully next week, Spring for real.
That’s about all I got. Need to find brekkie for rumbly tummy and then, alas, irk purtification must commence.
Doggone you, swampy! I was just previewing the new MMP that I’d composed and you jumped in ahead of me. I had a topic and everything!! Duumb ol’ bear.
Happy Apes Day!!! Continued no-baby-yet thoughts coming your way!
It’s snowing, but I don’t expect it will last much longer. No accumulation is expected, then it’s turning to rain, so just an icky day. Which is appropriate, since it’s Monday.
We’ve got to stop on the way home and get a coupla dozen eggs. My mom wants me to bring deviled eggs to her Easter brunch, and I need to be sure the eggs aren’t too fresh when I boil them. Wish there was a way to dye the whites while they boil - that would be so cool!
Other than that, just another busy day drawing purty pichures. yay.
Disgusting morning. Got all suited up to run then opened the front door to see what the weather was (my phone said it was snowing) – glare ice coating everything. However, schools are on a two-hour delay, so my son is very happy.
we’re getting slop here today, to become rain later today. I’m so sick of grey blah UGH…it’s at least another month or so before any flowers come up or the trees start to bloom
As for your eggs, there are tea eggs Tea egg - Wikipedia and you can achieve the same effect by putting a beet in the boiling water with the eggs, imagine you could also put food dye in the water if you wanted different colors and do this in different batches. I just use tea in my tea eggs (not the spices so much) and they are quite tasty, and using a beet to dye the eggs doesn’t seem to alter the flavor hardly at all, actually you could probably buy a jar of pickled beets and let the eggs soak in the juice for them for a little bit and get a nice color and what little flavor might go with deviled eggs really well.
Damn, now I’m hungry for eggs. guess I know what I will fix for breakfast.
Happy birfday Apes. I hope you get lots of cake and presents on your special day.
There is a winter weather advisory until 11am. It’s sleeting and f. rain and all sorts of other crappy stuff. However, a year ago it was 80 and the beginning of the hottest summer I can remember in my 55 years, so I’ll take this cr@pyy winter that won’t end.
Very cool! I never heard of such a thing! I’m thinking food color baths in a couple of colors. Thanks!
Not to make you jealous or anything, but despite the evil snow, I have a bunch of daffodils blooming around my yard, and the forsythia are showing a wee bit of yellow on a few branches. Greenery from day lilies and the naked lady amaryllis are also coming up fast and furious. I have such an itchin’ to get out and work the gardens, except that it’s been too chilly and I’m such a delicate flower myself.
OK, my files have transferred. Back to work with me!
Can we have the hot summer this year? We didn’t get one at all last year, just neverending rain…
Anyway.
Happy burfdy Apes!
Aand, it’s another day of trying to get my bedroom presentable. I’m actually impressed at how much clutter I’ve managed to generate. I think it almost counts as a superpower…
I’m mucking around in class. I’m in the computer room and the teacher isn’t here, so here I am.
We were supposed to do an assignment in class - something about writing about a conflict you had at work, but I usually stay out of trouble and don’t have any conflicts with people, so I didn’t do well on the asssignment. But the teacher let me loose on the internet anyway. So here I am.
Mornin’ Mumpers! I’m not really that cheerful, rather be in bed with my heating pad. blah.
Recently I decided that I needed new festival clothes (Renaissance, Pagan, whatever other sort of event needs costuming) and bought a bunch of patterns and fabric. I finished a bodice yesterday, it’s pretty but has a flaw in the fabric right at the center front. I’ll have to put some trim or something on it. Otherwise it looks like a pro did it and I’m pretty proud of myself. I haven’t made garb in years and years and it took longer than I expected, but the next couple of pieces should go much more smoothly.
