I love Boo-Berry, too. IMO, blueberry is a flavor that is under-represented in breakfast cereals.
Mentioned upthread was Freakies cereal. It, like King Vitaman, tasted just like Cap’n Crunch.
I ate Frankenberry when I was a kid. I had a strawberry flavor thing for a while.
I remember it just being covered with a glow-in-the-dark chemical (you had to ‘charge’ it by holding it on front of a light first, it wasn’t Radium! :D)
You’re a kill-joy
I love count chocula, which was sold year round for quite some time. Only in the past few years has it been Halloween only, and in those unusually small novelty-sized boxes (< 10 oz per box)
Yeah, when I was a kid we loved Count Chocula! It was probably mostly because our parents wouldn’t generally buy it. I remember Count Chocula, Frankenberry, and Booberry being available year-round, and then Booberry becoming pretty patchy in terms of availability. I don’t remember Fruit Brute or Yummy Mummy outside pop culture references to them. I’m actually surprised now that they are only seasonal.
Fruit Brute and Yummy Mummy were released along with the others last fall. IIRC, Fruit Brute was orange-flavored and Yummy Mummy was cherry. I can see why they weren’t that popular. Not that they’re bad, but orange and cherry aren’t flavors that are usually associated with cereal.
