The Most Recent "Whatcha Like on YouTube?" thread

My niece–she lives in another state and I’ve never gotten to see her except in pictures and this video.

Ken lee–yikes!

A cute version of Hey Jude!

Cartoons (or is it Cartoons DK?) version of Witch Doctor entertains me in a bizarre way. I would also like to see the two women out of their get-ups - they have kick-ass bodies.

300 - the PG version

I love the little thing he says in Korean at the beginning. I don’t know what it means, but it’s cute.

Here’s the same kid singing more Beatles songs on a Korean variety show. I love the way he pronounces the Beatles’s names, the way he says “Love Me Do!,” and that growl he puts into Michelle.

Cities at night photographed from the international space station:

It’s a ten minute reminder of the amazing things people can do! The video does the heart of this old manned space flight skeptic good, it does.

To me that was a ten minute reminder of how damned much energy we use as a society :frowning:

Yes - many of the comments on the YouTube page talked about this. We need to send less light into space where it does us no good - it is just a waste. I wonder how towns near major astronomical observatories compare with similarly sized towns without observatories. (Observatories usually ask nearby towns to take steps to minimize light pollution.) I suspect both kinds of small towns are barely visible from orbit. Until such time as we re-wire the world’s lighting, I’ll enjoy the images.

And I’ll try not to think of how many billions in taxpayer money that video ultimately cost. (I said I was a manned space skeptic.)

One for my fellow Germanophiles and 1930s nuts:
Max Raabe und sein Palast-Orchester

It’s not easy being Link (part 1).

Part 2.
I laughed so hard I nearly peed myself!

OMG! They actually made a real Leningrad Cowboys band! With the hair and everything!

(BTW, the name of the movie was “Leningrad Cowboys Go America!”.)

Actually, the hair doesn’t flop around like in the movie. That’s a little disappointing.

I think I want to learn to play the cello now.

This incident in Mexico is a little frightening.

No [post=7697028]jack-in-the-box[/post] links, please, ElvisL1ves.

Sorry, I didn’t know that one.

Never mind, folks.

To make up for that, here’s the Teenage Song. Some things are universal.

Thinking Plague live

The music is not for everyone–though I’m a big fan–but the bear costume the drummer wears is fantastic, and he works it for all it’s worth.

From the '80s, HBO parodies its own logo for April Fool’s Day.

Also, a documentary on how the REAL thing was made.

This one remains my favorite intarweb video.

Correction: this is.

Being a totally out of the loop backwoods dipshit paranoid hick, I just discovered YouTube. I knew it existed, but I didn’t try it until after a bunch of threads and links, with no Dopers mentioning malware. Now I’m getting into all the old shit I haven’t heard in 20 years.

Lee Rittenauer does a nice cover of “Papa was a Rolling Stone”, and Christina Aguilara has a set of pipes (I had no idea), but WTF is with that hair (Moulin Rouge)?
