The Movie Game II

He had an odd role in a movie called The Score

Dang, in the time it took me to put that together Aesiron’s been at it again. I think that version might have starred David Thewlis. Have we used him yet?

I think that’s the wrong version, the one with Michael York and Lancaster predates the more recent version (with Brando seeming more like a crazy beekeeper to me) by many years.

Nope, in addition to not having seen The Island of Dr. Moreau, I have absolutely no freakin’ idea who David Thewlis is.

Sorry.

He did the voice of the Earthworm in James and the Giant Peach (we are allowing voice appearances, right?)

Joanna Lumley

The Cat’s Meow

And we’re back in the game. . .

Hey, guys! Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Did we do Mystery Men yet?

Doesn’t look like.

Hank Azaria.

We almost died during his first scene in Along Came Polly (which was otherwise fairly unremarkable).

Bryan Brown

Breaker Morant

I saw If… (I forgot the dots before) when I was a boarder at a public school. It was shown on a Saturday night - more than once as I recall - along with The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Not that they were a double-bill or anything, that’s the onl;y other film I can remember seeing.

It was about a rebellion at a public school, so it was pretty progressive of the school to show it. The main bit I remember (apart from the ending which is some kind of machine gun orgy) was when the McDowell character seduced the Headmaster’s wife. Quite a turn-on!

FWIW this one is still in play. It’s a fairly well known movie from early 1980s, although I’m not sure there’s anyone else “famous” in it. I’m sure you’ll all work something out.

Jack Thompson

Who apparently was in The Assassination of Richard Nixon.

Could we head back into the mainstream cinema, soon, pls.?

Brad Henke has been in a few flicks that I’d consider mainstream, including one which is rather the sewage-laden flow…

I believe he was in The Fan

Okay – I searched for the spaceless version, but someone might have spelled it correctly (with space) – so I’ll go out on a limb and try

Robert De Niro

Nightwatch used him on Feb 16th, which is after this round started. The only other guy I know was in that film (Snipes) was already used as well. I’m sure there’s someone else in it. So we’re still on

The Fan
