The Movie Game

Yep. My wish has been granted!

Paul Benedict, who wasn’t Guffman.

(“Hmmm, Eight”. Paints on the bald man’s head.)

This is Spinal Tap**

One of the greatest movies of all time.

Dana Carvey.

I hope Wayne’s World is not too obvious.

Party time, excellent!

Tia Carrera… rowwwrrr!

(I have some excellent Tia Carrera trivia after someone responds to this)

**
Rising Sun**

Wesley Snipes

BTW, I misspelled Carrere in my original post. Anyway, it’s maybe not trivia but she voiced Nani, Lilo’s older sister in Lilo & Stitch. She’s a native Hawaiian and helped with the dialogue. But I could have sworn when I first saw that film (I have kids, I’ve seen it many times and love the music) that Nani was voiced by Rosie Perez.

Blade.

You know, I was trying to think of a less obvious Wesley Snipes film to use, but Blade and its sequel were the only movies I could think of. So I went to IMDb to check on his filmography (not to cheat, ;), just out of curiousity), and I found that I haven’t seen a single Snipes film. Ever.

Lilo & Stitch is great. Nani’s kind of a hottie, too…

Kris Kristofferson is the only one I know for sure that is in Blade besides Snipes. I think Snipes was also in New Jack City, Jungle Fever (which could have lead to the scrumptious Ming-Na Wen, and hence Mulan, and any number of really badly acted action flicks.

Kris Kristofferson was in Lone Star. I hope we haven’t used that one yet.

Elizabeth Peña?

I assume the question mark is because you’re not sure that’s correct. I’ll confirm that it is.

Funny thing. I never saw Lone Star, but your mention of her name sparked a memory of a different role she played. I made a quick search to confirm my memory.

I won’t put the answer here because my search would be cheating and I wouldn’t want to spoil anyone else’s answer. But I found it interesting since I would have sworn I didn’t know that actress’ name… at all… no idea. But apparently, somehow, I did know it.

If it weren’t for searching, this game would’ve ended about 25 pages ago. Feel free to put down yor answer.

Well I guess I was just confirming a recollection, even if that recollection was so vague that it felt like a WAG.

So my submission is *batteries not included.

Hey! That would rhyme in my wife’s accent. And it’s a homonym for Pavel Chekov!
:stuck_out_tongue:

For some reason my wife loves that movie. I’ve never seen it, although it is IIRC, a Steven Spielberg thing, so I assume everyone ends up happy in the end after shedding a few tears. Actually, I have seen a few minutes here and there and I can just picture one of the main characters but not draw up his name.

Hume Cronyn

Cocoon

Wilford Brimley
