I really don’t see the need to bump the thread every few months with “I had threesome” steal brag or a post for a thread that we have had multiple threads for. (attracted to an cartoon character)
These don’t need to be secret. The point of the thread was for people to be able to post things they otherwise could not, but for the most part, all these ‘bumps’ have been stuff that could be posted in other threads. The thread almost went off the rails with someone who dealing, not very well, with depression by wanting to post suicide notes here. Not what the thread was for, there is a very nice depression support thread going. I have ‘depression issues’ that I’ve dealt with by therapy, both talking and drug, and in no way does it have to be some ‘deep dark secret’ that has to posted to this thread.
The thread has gone away many times and resurrecting it for really lame stuff is like keeping a TV series going long after it should have been canceled.
Someone else can start a new secret thread. This one was a copy of the original idea. (but improved)
I’m glad that it served it’s purpose. There were a few dopers that I have met in real life who were nervous about sending in their secrets. I’m really glad they actually trusted me with that information and to tell you the truth. I don’t know which ones you two sent in anymore.
I’m not mad at the person who sent in the last secret. They had no reason to think that posting something like that was what this thread was for, looking at the last few pages. The one about the woman who did not like her daughter, whom she had given up for adoption and meet as an adult, now that was a secret.
Oh and not one guess as to who the identity of the real poster was ever correct.
