The Off to work MMP

I am at irk, it is irksome. Today I have a meeting scheduled for 3pm that says it will last 1.5hrs. That suggests to me that it’s meeting then hometime.

Still got the remnants of my cold which is not good, I had hoped the germs would have moved on by now since I’ve been providing them with a less than pleasant environment, but they are stubborn and seem to think staying on will somehow make them welcome again.

No plans for the weekend except sleep, and possibly a bit of domestic goddess stuff because the house needs cleaning and the cats have been refusing to help.

Feel better soon, Baker

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 55 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 70 and sunny for the day. Then a cool down starts again. Weather by Sybil.

{{{CupCakes}}} here’s hopin’ you feel better soonest.

Today is irk from da cave day. YAY! I do have to go out to a couple local places early this afternoon but that will not take long. Thus, I must purtify somewhat for the public. Right now, however, it’s time for more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Apart from being awakened by a cat trying to break into the bedroom, I slept till 6!!! YAY! **FCD **is still abed but after I shower, I’ll wake him so he can be among the first to get his blood drawn. First come, first drained…

Two weird dreams last night. In one, we were being held hostage in the house by a rather stupid couple. They took my phone but not FCD’s, so he called 9-1-1. There was more weirdness, but it was never resolved, then it morphed into a dream where Daughter and I were taking a walk with Bernie, who was as frisky and playful as in her prime. Golly, she’s been gone over 4 years - wonder why she was on my mind?

It was all of 15° when I let Higgs out - needless to say, she peed FAST and came back in. The pellet stove ran out overnight - it’s now refilled and running. And shortly, I will hit the shower. Dr office and breakfast first thing. Car to the dealer for a 10:30 appointment. Stop at Aldi’s on the way home for some nuts, and perhaps a stop at Food Lion for bread and peanut butter, since we’re low on both.

Thus beginneth my day and my long weekend. Long range forecast says temps in the 50s on Tuesday. Such bizarro weather…

Happy Firday!!

Sorry I’ve been absent. There has been a lot going on at Chez Rockin’ this week. Airman’s mother has been fighting cancer for about a year and a half, and now it’s looking like the cancer is going to win. Top that off with some other family drama and things are… Interesting.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. I’m off today, and there is hockey.

{{{{CupCakes}}}} Hope they can figure out the porblem

But of course! His screen name, (very) loosely translated, means “the cattle are dying”.

More importantly, the truck leaves for FL today, you know, the one with:
[ul]
[li]10,000 12-oz Powerade cups[/li][li]2400 baseballs[/li][li]2000 short & long sleeve shirts [/li][li]1200 bats[/li][li]600 pair of pants[/li][li]600 BP hats[/li][li]450 pair of socks[/li][li]350 pair of shorts [/li][li]250 BP tops[/li][li]200 fleeces [/li][li]200 light jackets[/li][li]150 pair of batting gloves[/li][li]140 batting helmets [/li][li]125 leather & elastic belts[/li][li] 75 assorted spike, plastic, & turf shoes [/li][li] 1 hot dog launcher[/li][/ul]

Yup, it’s almost Spring!

Having trouble multi-quoting on my phone…

Sorry, I’m not on board with this (the name, not the sentiment, that I agree with) as it sounds like a porn star name.
As in, now playing as flytrap’s favorite theater: CupCakes Conquers Kansas City ???

Leaving for my brother’s wedding, haven’t flown in over 20 years, big anxiety today.

Good day to you all, and thoughts good wishes for those who need peace and good health.

Well, that was an interesting Thorsday.

Up at 0330, caught flight at 0525, then two hours in Atlanta airport, another 90 minute flight, a couple hours driving/eating lunch culminating in a 2-hour meeting where I was called upon to utter perhaps 4-5 sentences, then back to airport for 2 hours, flying to Atlanta and waiting another two hours to fly home, before falling into bed about 2300. So I could get up to come into work today.

So anyone else blurfing, just live with it…

Baker, fingers crossed that it is something minor.

Robyn, all the best wishes to you and the Airman.

Calla, the biggest anxiety about flying these days is getting through security and the great human mob scene at boarding. Flying itself is a breeze, I think you’ll do fine.

Of course, if you don’t, we expect to hear all the gory details here…

Which means just 57 more days until the Phillies are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs?

Or the sequel with Fuzzy Tomato; still one of my favorites.

They are carpenters and gardeners. They are not tomato men.

Home, having accomplished pretty much everything. The wait for labs at the Dr’s office was over an hour. Yoiks! Then we had breakfast at our fave cafe in Leonardtown - altho it’s just half a cafe at the moment. Irene is having to repair the roof and they crammed us into the half near the grill. Wonder how long it’ll take to fix?

After eating, I dropped **FCD **off at home, grabbed my hockey blanket project, and headed south to the Hyundai dealer, arriving 5 minutes before my appointment. They declared we didn’t have the problem prompting the recall, then they changed the oil and ran the cruddy thing thru their carwash. My car is blue again!!!

Next stop was to fill it up - $1.69/gallon!! On to WalMart for a few items, and it was an amazingly quick in and out there. Finally, to Aldi’s for almonds, cashews, peanuts, and pistachios, plus some mushrooms.

Time to chill.

{{{Baker}}}

Moooom, I always schedule a fasting blood draw as the first appointment of the day so’s I can have coffee and breakfast at a reasonable hour.

rockin’, I’m sorry to hear about Airman’s mom. May she end her days, however long they may be, peacefully.

Have a safe flight and fun at the hitchin’, Lily!

TGIF! And I may actually get almost caught up today!

It’s Friday, so we must be at the hospital again. This time, it’s to patch a spinal fluid leak. You know you’re at a hospital too often when the security people recognize you and you can accurately predict what the cafe has available for breakfast.

I just got mod permission to post DH’s gofundme page elsewhere in MPSIMS. It’s the old flagpole test…run it up and see if anyone salutes, or in this case, donates.

**Red **- this office doesn’t schedule labs - you just show up. LOTS of folks showed up today… One of them apparently had some issues or something - he was in there at least half an hour. But it’s done, so yay.

I am embarrassed to be related to someone who has no problems sharing bad info. Those who follow my sister on FB got some of that this morning with her explanation of why a drink is called a shot. She deleted my link to the actual explanation. I quit following her so-called Knowledge Nuggets because more often than not, they’re BS, and she gets all pissy if anyone tells her that. So henceforth, I shall take a deep, cleansing breath and let her wallow in her ignorance. Stoopit sister. :stuck_out_tongue:

No, she doesn’t read here - why do you ask?

You coud take a page from my book and actually block the stoopit sister.
