The Office 1/11/2007

Yes…he was probably expecting a boardroom or some sit-down conference room deal. He was always so arrogant about how he was better than Dunder-Mifflin; it’s interesting to see him with a lot to learn.

Was it just my imagination, or was the client’s wife actually a hairdresser (and possibly the one they just went to)?

I saw Dwight (Rainn Wilson) in “Sahara” with Matthew McConaughey, and he was very good.

I loved Pam’s line to happy Angela, too. What a brilliant throwaway line.

I hate those two more than anything in the entire world.

Why would telling Michael about Dwight’s errand necessarily out their relationship? Dwight could have explained it away by saying that he realized the office would have been in trouble and dashed off to save the day as another way of atoning for the coup.

Yes, but then Angela’s huge screw up would have been revealed.

Was it just me or did “Happy Angela” actually look beautiful when she was smiling and talking about “Kurt” when she was at the coffee shop? I was taken aback, she usually has that ugly scowl.

Yeah, me too…

Huh?

That’s what Angela said when Dwight was explaining that it wouldn’t be that bad if people knew they were a couple. He said something to the effect of “Just look at Ryan and Kelly.” Angela responded with “I hate those two more than anything in the entire world.”

I think it was your imagination.

The payoff to the joke was that they got horrendous makeovers in the style of the guy’s wife. It wasn’t required that they got the makeovers FROM her.

:smack: That’s exactly right!

whoosh!!! :o

But how would Dwight have known about it? He wasn’t in the office yet that morning – he went to corporate first. So that means Angela would have either had to contact him or see him (or he would have to have the keys to her place or something) before he came in. Not quite as innocent as “Oh, I told Dwight about it when he came in, and he drove up there for me.”

I think the implication is that either she called him before he came in, or perhaps told him the night before or something. At least, that’s my guess. (And if it was just calling him early that morning – why would she specifically call Dwight about it – that would possibly be the question in the minds of others).

In the season two episode with the Dwight’s performance review, he told Michael and Jan he had a key to the office made so he could come in on holidays. Assuming it hadn’t been confiscated, Dwight would have been able to get into the office before regular working hours and, really, how surprising would it be if he came into the office exceedingly early?

In publicity pictures, especially group shots of the cast (out of character), Angela Kinsey, who plays bitchy Angela Martin, is very pretty, and usually dresses nicely, wears makeup, and smiles a lot.

She could have realized that it wasn’t in the last courier run of the day, too late for Dwight to take care of it at night. Dwight would have to wait until normal business the next day to hand-deliver.
