Andy: I’m chopping off Phyllis’ head with a chain saw!
Okay episode. I thought there’d be more to the fight between Jim and Karen. (I think that’s her name.) Guess they’re waiting til February sweeps.
I loved when Dwight said, “Who did this to you?” Who said chivalry was dead?
OH MY GOD! Is it appropriate to squee right now?
After the first 5 minutes, I was going to turn it off because I didn’t think I could bear seeing Michael humiliated any more. I am so glad I stuck with it. I love this show.
The moment between Pam and Dwight was perfect. And Dwight screwed it up perfectly, too. “So, you must be PMSing pretty bad, huh?”
'The Jamaicans don’t even have a word for “impossible”.
Kevin (with the poster): “I’m going to hang it on my wall. I don’t have a lot of art.” sheepish grin
Wonder what his fiancee will think of that?
What was with the iPod scene in the warehouse? I may have missed something, but I didn’t understand that at all…
I loved when Dwight took off his jacket, then tied it around his waist, saying it was hot. And Jan attacking Michael at the end… whew!
I think it may be alluding to a deleted scene from the Christmas episode, wherein Kelly throws the present she bought for Ryan in the dumpster. You can watch it on the NBC website. I could be totally off-base, though - the iPod thing was really out of place.
Does anyone else think that Jan may not know that the picture made the email rounds? I got the impression she knew nothing about it.
Yep. Loved Michael’s walk and look of doom though when Jan arrived. I have a feeling that given Jan’s rambling about her discussions with her therapist, she has been too busy trying to figure out if she should be mortified or happy to go back to work.
One complaint, not enough Creed in this episode!
I definitely don’t think Jan knows about the picture. Apparently everyone (including Toby’s ex-wife) got the e-mail but her.
Poor Pam. Jim really shouldn’t have brought his relationship stuff with Karen to her. I liked the moment between Roy and Pam in the warehouse. Roy’s looking kind of hot these days.
Dwight comforting Pam was just priceless, and I loved the luau they only had three hours to plan and Angela slicing Spam at the party.
He really didn’t, though. He wasn’t going to talk to her about it until she started pressing him. She didn’t press very hard, but still, if she hadn’t come in he would have never told her.
“Who did this to you? Where is he??” What a wonderful moment. I think that may be my favorite moment yet. I was already feeling sad for Pam and then he says the perfect thing, for someone who is trying to be an ancient warrior-type and protect his women.
The follow-up was great too, with the jacket, the comforting but not too familiar arm around the shoulders, and then the assumption that only a guy or PMS could be upsetting her.
And Jan not knowing…I was all set for the dressing down and the show surprised me.
“Did you forward the follow-up e-mail?” “I don’t know, man, we’re really busy down here.”
I really don’t like how truly mean Michael is to Toby.
I thought it had something to do with the Jan/Michael picture finding it’s way onto the internet and he was looking at it on his video i-pod and he was triumphant in the fact that it had went “big time”.
But on second thought can i-pods even pull pictures off the internet??
In Dwight’s defense, he was right the first time. It was a guy she was upset about - just not in the way he thought.
I loved that moment. Surprising, yet perfectly in character.
Best throwaway line: “Call me when she flips over.”
It looks like they are continuing to loosely follow the Brit version. Pam and Roy will end up back together and Pam will probably leave DM. They have to play it long, though, because I’m sure they want the series to last a few more seasons.
Oh, I know! How funny that it indeed turned out to be boys or hormones.
Michaels: You complete me.
Jan: Oh God.
I think both of us said “Oh God” at the exact same time Jan did last night.
E.
I got the impression as well that Jan had not returned to work that day and had no idea about the picture.
Dwight’s moment with Pam was probably my favorite ever on this series.
Angela: “Did you try the petting zoo?”
Jenna Fischer did a fantastic job of first showing her joy at the prospect that she could still be Jim’s friend, but then really processing what that might mean for her in the future.
Looks like Michael dodged a bullet (temporarily); is Toby going to narc on him? I like him (and he definitely gets the raw deal from Michael), but he is a stickler for the rules and it could haunt Michael quite soon (though it would be nice if the show dropped this thread as a simple clean getaway).
