Didn’t she also wear white to Phyllis’ wedding?
This episode was fan-freaking-tastic (“That what’s she said! That what’s she said!”) but one thing really bothered me.
Why are they making a big deal about “Pam’s future”? I thought she was in NY for a three month intro session to Pratt’s design program. That means she has at least three and a half years to go before the job question is even an issue.
I will be mightily pissed if they break up Jim and Pam because all of the “tension” between them has been so fake and manufactured.
I agree, but that’s what ALWAYS happens on TV shows-- they bust up perfectly functional relationships over stupid crap, because happy couples don’t make good TV, or they think we will enjoy watching more if there’s some sort of trauma/drama. I hope they don’t do that with Jim and Pam, but I’m not counting on it.
Except Andy’s. He had that big cheesy grin in his picture. That was one of my favorite parts of this episode. Andy is getting really frustrated because Jim is using his mug. He’s trying to convince Jim that the mug is his. Jim holds it up next to Andy’s face. Andy smiles big, just like in his mug picture. Jim says, “I don’t see it.”
IMO, the “deleted scenes” for 3 out of the last 4 episodes (including this one) are funnier than most of the stuff left in the show. Linky to such a video. “Now substitute paper for carrots.”
I just realized this: Michael, Andy, Dwight, Angela. These are people I hate to love. (Or something like that.)
Yeah–nice analogy, Michael. And I loved Dwight’s scheme to keep increasing his bonuses!
This was my favorite episode so far this season. I laughed more than once, which is rare for me and The Office.
Dwight reminds of a Pierson’s Puppeteer from Niven’s Known Space series. When one was told that laughter was the result of an interrupted defense mechanism he replied, “No sapient being ever interrupts a defense mechanism”.
She probably isn’t thinking that far ahead. According to the wedding blog linked upthread, the wedding isn’t until Thanksgiving Day 2009, which is hilarious. Andy planned the wedding that day because that’s when nothing was booked up. Angela now has over a year of excuses to spend lots of time at the Beet Farm alone and at odd hours.
I thought maybe they were favors she had made ahead of time…maybe from Dunder-Mifflin ID photos??
So they are getting married on Thanksgiving Day 2009. That’s awesome!
