I don’t have much to say about the episode – the bombshell at the end sorta wiped everything else out – but how will Michael react to being the “other man”? Will he think it’s cool and studly or will he feel guilty? He wants so badly to be married himself, I can see him reacting badly to this. Not that he doesn’t react badly to just about everything, but this is different.
Man, last night was a great two hour block of comedy. I think **Dio’s **right about Michael. Like Amp, I wonder what will happen now that the printers catch on fire.
Sadly, the NBC comedies were pre-empted last night for a Nashville flood fundraising telethon. I think they are going to broadcast them tomorrow night.
This ep was the worst piece of crap yet. The only mildly amusing part was Dwight in the weight room. The new Pam is just an annoying bitch, and the Andy-Darrell thing is just stupid. And I take back what I said last week about the new love interest for Michael being hot: she’s a hag.
They’re also on Hulu. When I checked my guide last night, I was a bit miffed at NBC skipping yet another week of Thursday programming. Then I got confused when I saw discussion threads here. No harm, though since I usually watch them on Hulu anyway.
Very funny episode. Pam was kind of annoying with how awful she was in passing a secret to Michael. But, I guess her ham fisted ways of getting a secret over is just a part of her nervousness and her eagerness to let Michael know that he might be getting two timed.
I loved Daryl’s reaction to his prank and his promise to never do pranks again.
Yeah, Michael’s whole concert scheme to get her to tell the truth was great. “Oh. i can meet you at work” "I thought you had the concert. “No. That’s on Tuesday.”
Even from the start Kelly’s speculation that Nancy was cheating only made sense if Michael was the mistress. Going far far out of town seems like something you would do if it was with someone you were hiding. I did love Kelly talking about the time Ryan had two girlfriends and Ryan defending his diner choice without saying anything about the second GF.
Creed is still always funny. Surprisingly, they have never overused him. So, his moments of insanity still manage to keep the funny going.
I really have enjoyed the Sabre corporate guy. They have put together a great character there. Lots of eccentricities. (Did you see how he was eating his bread? Pecking like a little bird.) He’s a powerless corporate drone. The 5 dollar Dunkin Donuts card was just perfect.
I like him too. He reminds me of Kyle McLachlan’s character in Twin Peaks, just a teensy bit. Maybe it’s that wide-eyed air of innocence, being open to whatever happens. But McLachlan’s character wasn’t quite that insecure. Could be there’s a physical resemblance too.
They really need to stop “Michael, Jim, and Pam” storylines. I think those characters are best when they’re with other members. I wasn’t a huge fan of the “A” storyline this ep for that reason. The Andy/Darryl part was great, as was Ryan listing all the ways you know someone’s cheating on you.
I may have to watch this ep again. It damn near put me to sleep first time through. Maybe it’s because I watch the old eps, and the newer ones just suffer by comparison. Last night was the classic dinner party with Michael and Jan, which was some hilarious stuff.
Which I hope means is the end of the show and decide to continue the it without him, (isn’t that NBC’s decision?). I hate it when networks try to milk every last ounce of a hit shows. I may give a ‘spin-off’ show a chance, but I don’t want to see The Office last for more than another season.
It depends on how his movie career is doing at that point. He’s had a few roles recently, but if they don’t do well at the box office those offers might have all dried up by then and sticking with a sure thing with a probably hefty raise might make more sense.
