It looks like a plot device, as his Sebring went to the body shop after running over Meredith a couple of episodes ago. Now it’s gone altogether.
Anytime Liberal and I agree on something, you know it must be revealed truth.
Apart from Mose running beside the car, there were no laugh out loud moments. There were only a couple of simply amusing moments too - the exchange between Pam and Jim from “Beets Motel” to “How are you doing this?” and the discussion on “whomever.”
An hour of unfunny. Show me the funny - that’s what the office is supposed to be.
I don’t think I’d like to try beet wine.
I noticed during the credits that B. J. Novak (Ryan) is also a producer of the show.
Hasn’t that always been the case?
Oh, that’s better.
(And yeah, I was wondering if it was the same cat too.)
I felt bad for Michael when the cut to him in the telesales office. Now is it Jan sucking him dry of funds or his own stupid money squandering (like trying to sell his house on Ebay)? I’m thinking the former, with the porsche purchase.
Yeah AFAIK but maybe plnnr just now noticed that in the credits.
I want my boyfriend and I to be Jim and Pam. They crack me up. Some of my friends lost interest when their relationship was revealed but I like seeing more of it.
I liked the bits of seriousness in this episode - it has to happen every once in awhile to progress certain storylines. And the whomever conversation was pretty much perfect. What exactly did Michael say to Toby when Toby told him he was wrong? Something about a letter opener?
According to Oscar, a lot of it was because Michael had run up a lot of credit card debt on frivolous purchases that “nobody needs” like DVD box sets of The Muppet Show," “multiple magic kits,” professional bass fishing gear and expensive exercise equipment.
They made it sound like it was a little of both. They traded in two cars for one Porsche (which should have been impossible, since it was a company car. But, I guess Michael found away around it. Much like he found an easy way to declare bankruptcy.) And, Jan was talking about all the stuff they were buying for the house at the beginning of the episode. Then again, when Oscar was showing Michael his finances he pointed to the black bar and all the things noone needs, these things were all Michael purchases.
Another thing that cracked me up was when Jan told Michael to improv that he had a car.

Too many funny throw-away lines to count, but the scene that made me laugh even harder than Mose chasing the car was the short cut-away that showed Andy catching the cat in the wharehouse. He was trying to trap it between the box and lid while simultaneously trying to stay as far away from it as possible. That must be one feral feline.
And Angela must have an affinity for feral felines. Kitty took to being carried around pretty well. That cat was almost as big as Angela!
They need these episodes every once in awhile to remind you why they stick around each other. It’s not like a disfuctional TV sitcom, this is a job, these people choose to work at DM.
And Angela and Toby are real life sister/brother! Yes, true.
I think he told him to shove a letter opener into his head/brain. I don’t recall the exact exchange either.
Yeah, that cat was definitely Garbage (the one Dwight brought in from the barn, and then turned loose at Vance Refrigeration). Which is probably what did Dwight in. He brings in the cat–he gets yelled at. Andy brings in the cat–he gets to ask Angela out to dinner.
I thought this episode had a great combination of serious/touching moments, and hilarious moments. My heart broke for both Michael and Dwight, which is good after all the over-the-top buffoonery of the last few episodes.
I don’t understand all the complains that Pam and Jim are annoying because they’re “better” than everybody else. They’ve always been better than everybody else, in some ways. They’ve certainly always been the ones who hated to see either Michael or Dwight in really bad, painful situations. Pam has helped Dwight before, and some of their best moments have been when lending support or help to Michael. All the characters seem to be behaving entirely in character to me.
You seem to take your Office verrrrrry seriously.
Umm, this is the place for us to discuss what we think about “The Office,” isn’t it?
Nope, in real life, the actress who plays Angela is married to the brother of the actor who plays Toby.
I was going to say you were insane. But, then I looked it up and I saw that you aren’t as crazy as I thought. Real life sister-in-law/brother-in-law. She is married to Toby’s brother, according to the IMDB. And, Toby’s sister is married to series developer Greg Daniels. Big happy family!
Oh well. Took me a minute too long to look that up. Scooped by peedin!

Not even the “Radishon” comment?
I also liked Pams comment about setting Angela and Andy up:
“I couldn’t do that to Dwight…or Angela…or Andy”
I was wondering that myself. It seemed to me that Jim knows that Dwight is happiest when he is in competition or conflict with someone. The first thing Dwight did when he got back to his desk was push Jims stuff away with his ruler and start making sales calls.
I loved this episode; one of my favorites so far. This episode really seems to have polarized the Office audience, though. Odd.
