I doubt he drank the whole bottle…
Ryan was drinking too… I guess he can handle the occasional drink.

I had the same thought, but then realized that Jim probably “fake drank” because he was continuously looking for a way out. Holding the bottle up to his lips but not actually taking much in.
I was under the impression he never even opened the bottle.
Good thing he probably wasn’t drunk, it was shot on a closed set and it was a TV show.
His bad driving was because Meridith had him blocked in. I like the idea of him fake drinking and not even opening the bottle.
Gabe not quite getting his pants off then falling into the pool prematurely was quite funny, not sure if it was even intentional or just the take happened to go that way.
Is that what was going on? I honestly thought Dwight was having a heart attack or something. After the Chicken game was done I wondered why they abandoned it (Dwight looking sick). I completely missed that.
I thought about that for a second and then said to myself “Whatever, it’s a sitcom, who cares” and as others said he was probably fake drinking because he was talking about leaving the entire time. I suppose they could have shown him dumping the wine during the tour. A little in the sink, a little in a plant, some in the pool. Of course then he would get caught and we’d be right back at the Robert hates Jim and calls him out in front of everyone thing which IMO is old and not being done very well.
I’m not sure why they couldn’t have just not had Meredith’s van blocking him in so he didn’t have to drive through the landscaping and he could have said something to the camera about fake drinking. Or, honestly, I’m not sure why he just didn’t go. He really didn’t need to be there for anything.
Huh, didn’t even occur to me that Jim was driving drunk. He was driving a bit erratically to try to get out from behind Meredith’s van, coupled with being in a hurry to get the heck outta there as he was partly freaked out by the skinny-dipping.
Agree. Best episode in quite a while. Loved Jim’s exit from the party.
I thought he passed out from the pain because she was pulling his hair so hard
I’m pretty sure it’s that she was choking him. There were several references to how she was not coming off his shoulders no matter what, ergo, she was holding on really hard.
I enjoyed the exchange when Andy was trying to get his ring back:
Andy: “Aren’t you superstitious?”
Kelly: “What, of course I am!”
Apparently Gabe has a Korean erotic film on his iPod ready to go at any time.
Overall a pretty good episode.
It would have been funnier at the end of the opener to have Jim reveal that he knew what Dwight and Stanley were up to and he had “doctored” the meatballs in some way. Preferably with ultra hot spice vs. a laxative. You need to twist the twist.
Jim bragging about getting out of parties early and then being stuck was way too predictable. As was Andy’s ring getting lost and found and so on.
But the ending with Robert skinny dipping and all saved it.
I don’t understand why they seem to be trying to make Erin seem like a good match for Andy, etc. She is clearly crazy, and not in a good way. I think her character is done.
Gabe and Ryan trying to outlast each other was good. Wonder where they woke up the next morning.
In each other’s arms, no doubt. With Robert California bitching that he didn’t get any of the action.
Jim wins so often, it’s nice to see Dwight get one over on him every once in a while.
I think she’s crazy in a mostly charming way. There’s some obvious neuroses there, but she strikes me as a kitten who doesn’t know she has claws. Compared to many other members of the Office cast, she seems downright well-adjusted.
Erin’s not too crazy… Andy is as crazy as she is, at least. They’re chemistry was good in the valentine episode. We still didn’t see them ‘together’ as much as I would have liked.
Also:
Contains “spoiler” that’s not a well kept secret, as it was news on Yahoo’s front page.
…so are they actually going to do anything with the Maura Tierney plot they set up?
It was clear that Andy was going to at least go on A date with his boss’ (soon to be) ex-wife.
They spoke of her last episode… but who knows. It would be cool to see her again. That was a great episode.
Jim and Pam annoy me some times. They’re just so perfect and charming. I like it when Jim screws the pooch and looks like an idiot. Like the time he hit Merideth(?) in the face with the soccer(?) ball or when he managed to get everyone locked in the complex after hours. And wasn’t there an incident where he decided that some bonus money was going to be divided amongst the sales people only and managed to piss-off half the office?
Yes. Also the time he decided they should just have one birthday cake for everyone’s birthday (for the month?) instead of individual cakes.
