It was an ok episode. Angela’s revelation about The Senator was kind of fun.
I read at the beginning of the season that they were going to give tribute episodes to many of the characters from the past. Jan and Roy have gotten one so far.
I vote for the latter. Mainly because it alerts me to when there’s a new episode!
A couple of good LOL moments in this one: “Eat it, Stanley!” and “Please, sir, will you not kill me?” I know she’s not very popular in these parts, but I thought Nellie was great in this episode. “I’ll have nightmares with that face.”
I forgot about that. It seemed like Jim was getting fired from the new gig. So we have the set-up where he completely quits Dunder-Mifflin or has to keep the firing from Pam.
I know. He’d know better than to make a conference business call from the office. Like, what, he couldn’t find an empty meeting room or, better yet, just call from the car?
I could see Jim quitting to move and Pam going with him (so far, she’s supporting this venture). We know Dwight is supposed to have a spin off with the Bed & Breakfast & Beet Farm thing and if he quits to do that full time, maybe they’ll shut down the branch.
OR, maybe Andy will decide to stay where ever he is and they’ll put Nellie in charge who will run it into the ground, Jim, Pam and Dwight jump ship and the show is effectively over.
No matter what happens, they’ve put the wheels in motion for the show to start winding down.
1)Jim has an outside venture with a lot of money invested and they’ve stated that he lives to far away to make it work. He needs to move out there.
2)Pam will go with him. She’s shown support for this project. She also supported the Michael Scott Paper Company.
3)Andy is on his way to, er, somewhere. Maybe he’ll stay. Maybe he’ll send for Erin to come down.
4)The last time Andy took off, Nellie stepped up, maybe she’ll do it again.
5)Dwight has a spinoff in the works.
6)I think they may have just gotten rid of one of the interns (traded him off to Jan) not that that really matters, they didn’t really do much with them.
There’s a lot of stuff in play here and most of it isn’t the ‘setting stuff up for the long term’ type stuff. To me, this reads as ‘wrapping up loose ends’/‘winding down’ type stuff.
