Apparently it costs more than $40 million to purchase a private amendment to the constitution of Michigan. Ambassador Bridge owner Matty Moroun’s attempt to block the building of a competing bridge with Michigan Prop 6 is going down in flames in spite of spending more than half a year’s toll proceeds on some of the most blatantly dishonest election ads in history.
As someone with family ties to that corner of Ontario, I’m quite happy about that.
