No, I haven’t received anything from you yet. I’ll keep you posted, though.
The directions I’m still working on, and I’ll be doing a mass emailing in a day or so.

I’ve just e-mailed directions to everyone, so if you don’t get them and need them, please contact me via this thread or via email.
Gah, work sucks. My company picnic is tomorrow and originally I wasn’t planning on going. I have just been infomed that because of my technical ability (I know where to plug in a computer) my presence is required. *grumble, grumble Stinkin, no-talent, computer stupid cow-orkers.
Sorry Dave. Hopefully I can make it to a future event.
Mrs. Teasdale will unfortunately be unable to attend - she’s been sleeping poorly lately, her iron levels are tanking (again), and she’s got some other minor maladies that I won’t list here. So she’s gonna stay home and rest.
I’ll still be there, with carrot cake. And the ten-spot I never got around to sending.
I’ll be bringing the $10 along as well. I changed bank accounts a few weeks ago and I’m STILL waiting for my new checks to arrive.
I’ll be making the bakery run tomorrow to make sure I’m bringing fresh breadage so how much bread do you figure you’ll need? It’s inexpensive I can easily and gladly pick up more than enough.
I can grab a case of beer as well if you want.
Frank#2, that does indeed suck. Besides, you’d definitely have more fun at my house. Next year, for sure.
RTFirefly, I’m sorry to hear about Mrs. Teasdale. She’ll be missed. And I hope she gets some rest and gets her iron count back up.
Meros, we’re going to have about 25 or so adults, and maybe six children at the most. And Zyada is bringing bread as well. So don’t go nuts. And thanks for the offer of a case of beer. I won’t turn that down.
I’ve spent the last hour or so coating the ribs with savory Memphis rub so they can soak it up overnight. (There was enough blood on the floor for a Manson Family reunion.) And all the weather reports say that we’ll only have scattered showers in the morning, with the weather clearing up by afternoon. So we should have a good day for it.
See y’all tomorrow!
I don’t know if I’m going to make it… I just got back from buying some groceries and my car sounds horrendous. The muffler has been broken for eons but this is a much deeper, more menacing sound. I don’t know if I’ll be able to find alternate transportation in time
I’m going to do everything in my power to get there, I’ve really been looking forward to this.
I’m glad I’m not the only person who’ll be paying at the gate.
Sounds like we might get some early rain but it should clear up in the afternoon.
Dave, I remember last year you said you needed chairs. Is that still true?
YES!!
Any chairs you can bring would be most appreciated.
And I’ve been keeping my eye on the forecast. It should clear up right about the time I’m ready to start the fire.
I’m bringing 4 outdoor chairs.
I’m leaving here ~10am, which should get me there ~2:30pm.
See ya later, alligator!
I’m back home. Had a great time, thanks to Dave and Barb, who are two of my favorite people on the planet. More later; right now a shower calls, then the raspberry harvest must be attended to, and my wife might want some of my attention in there too.
Mrs. Teasdale is feeling better tonight, but she slept through most of the weekend, so she wouldn’t have been much company at RibFest.
Glad to see you got home safe and sound (and I’m glad Mrs. Teasdale is feeling a little more spry).
Thanks for coming up. It’s always a better time for your being with us. You’re one of our favorite people, too.
Overall, I would consider RibFest '04 a success. Good weather, good food, excellent company.
Thanks to all who shared our humble home.
I think the thanks need to go to you for being willing to open your humble home to all us crazy Dopers.
You two are excellent hosts and I thank you for a wonderful time.
O yeah…sorry about the chair again.
Oof. Had so much fun, but we got lost on the way home and didn’t walk in the door until some time around 3am.
Thanks again, and it was nice meeting some folks and good seeing old friends.
I’d also like to thank Dave and the rest of the W0071 family for inviting us over. Sorry if I wasn’t good company; I’ve been getting over a cold and took some cold tablets that morning. In retrospect, I think I was pretty zoned out for most of the day.
Meros, thanks for the kind words. It was good to see you again, and don’t worry about the chair. It gives us an excuse to get a new set of patio furniture, which I think you’ll agree, would be an improvement over what we have now.
Gorgon Heap, sorry about your extra-long trip home. That sucks. But it was great to see you again, to watch your adorable daughter and her hijinks, and to smooch and flirt with Acrylic Vessel. You’re a lucky man to have two such wonderful wimminz around you all the time.
Little Nemo, your company was excellent, don’t give it a second thought. And your ice cream was even excellenter. You left the lid behind, though. If you want, you can email me and tell me where to send it.
Not good company? Not good company?!!! You made us ice cream. That’s the best company EVA!!!
It was great seeing everybody again for the first time. Even Juniper of the Nine Fingers. The cats enjoyed the sex.
I know one way Juniper didn’t get her 9 fingers. With fireworks. CAUSE THERE WASN’T A SINGLE FRIGGIN BOTTLE ROCKET IN THAT PACK SHE BROUGHT!
Besides that, I had a great time. Ribs and ice cream rock. And despite her freakish love for Matt Damon, Juniper’s kinda hot.
Hey, Hama and Gorgon Heap. If y’all are reading this drop by my LJ for that link I promised.
Like I said, I had an absolutely wonderful time! It was a smaller group than last year, but that wasn’t a problem - RibFest '04 was, for me anyway, an incredible kaleidoscope of great conversations. Not to mention those yummy ribs, Acrylic Vessel’s jello shots, and all the other good food.
Sunday brunch was a pretty quiet affair, with just me, Zyada, rjk, and the W0071 clan, but we had a fun time swapping cat stories and other tales. Thanks for the bagels, Barb!
