The Onion is taking over Infowars

I wonder if Jones’ audience are similar to those who watch pro wrestling. They know it’s fake, but they just go along with it because it’s fun.

Perhaps a few in the early days. And yes, owning the libtards is fun when all your co-workers down at the bar are laughing and pointing too.

But that’s a drug that quickly takes over your mind. It’s darn hard to watch for long before you stop being entertained and are instead being indoctrinated. Because it isn’t designed by human behavior experts to be entertaining. It’s designed by those experts to be indoctrinating.

We’ve had the same convo about various RW talking heads. Was e.g. Hannity always really like he portrays, or is he an actor who ended up turning into the role he was playing on TV? My own take is some of each, but the latter effect is very real.

And applies to the audience as well as the actors.

I don’t think the Onion reboot is aimed at Jones’ audience-- at least not after they watch for five minutes. I believe it is aimed at the Onion audience, i.e., people like us.

Agreed. My landlord watched Alex Jones every day, and I can assure you that to his dying day, he was a true believer.

Your landlord died? Was that the one who raised the adorable puppies? I’m sorry to hear that. I hope it wasn’t too disruptive for you.

His wife was the one who raised them, but yeah, he helped. My landlord died of cancer a little less than a year ago. It’s been disruptive but we’re still there.

The playlist for the highlights (hosted by Adult Swim’s official YouTube channel).

I am pretty sure the full trial (over 4 hours long) is available elsewhere on YouTube, but not sure if the sources are legitimate or if they are pirated. Of course you can pay to watch the whole trial by subscribing to the HEI Network:

It’s absolutely hilarious (as is his whole Adult Swim On Cinema persona, of which the trial is a subset) and I was so bummed when it left Adult Swim and YouTube.

Glad to see Infowars is continuing on in a spectacular fashion.

This video came out a few days ago. The “commercial” is borderline NSFW.

I love the part where his estranged wife comes on:

Particularly what he does with his voice when he says “I command you!”

But the whole segment is great.

Does the revival of this thread mean that the Onion has in fact taken over Infowars?

Yep, and posting content. Complete with a new conspiracy theory (well, one of many many) that Alex Jones has perished via spontaneous explosion in his own car and has been replaced by a clone.

Check out their new logo.

It still says this. Any idea why they aren’t redirecting traffic to the new Onion-owned webpage?

Certainly finding that coin “sexual” would require a VERY specific variety of kink.

Eh. Self-loathing repressed homosexual thinking is almost a requirement among the Far Right. See Hegseth, Peter for more.

Apparently as of July 2 the actual transfer of ownership of the infowars dot com website is still being dragged out in court, but the Onion is moving ahead with their parody channel on their own website for the time being. I guess I spoke too soon.

A difficult birth…

We actually don’t know that. I mean, we know he’s dead due to an explosion thanks to some top of the line citizen-patriot journalism, but we don’t know for sure that it was spontaneous. Sure, it could have been due to his over-consumption of cheeseburgers, but it might also have been caused by a small explosive device. We’ll have to keep watching for the truth.

Do y’all still believe in cars? as if something would move without any external force acting on it… pfff, wake up sheeple!

'I’m demon free bitch" is an incredible line delivery.

The wife is played by Edi Patterson, and if you enjoy that segment you should watch the righteous gemstones.
