The Pass Over MMP

You have been found.
I miss all the excitement.
My niece came by, I was soaking in the tub and missed it. I called my mother to get her bf’s address to send him a fruit basket and she asked me if I heard it and nope I didn’t. All I know is their solution is for my niece to join the military. My BIL has been on her to join the military since she was 17, now she is 32 with 4 kids. That boat has long sailed.
I hear my niece got in a few zingers, I’m sorry I missed it.

So I got my check and I’m getting all this stuff together to send back.

Joke?

Gah. So busy. Two-hour power outage at work. Training new girl. No time to rest until at least Sunday. Gaaaah.

Miss you guys. :frowning:

Howdy from da cave. Hump Day done humped on by for da bear. I spent three hours dealin’ with four people whose last names rhyme. ‘Twas a very confusin’ time. For now Ima chill for a bit then go start dindin.

I read but not sure I reatained so, yays, boos, hugs, gropes, trouts, chitlins, woohoos, how you doin’s all around, as needed.

Were we gone?

I once got three people at work mixed up with each other because their names seemed similar to me. And no, they actually weren’t the four people we have at work named Marie-Claude - luckily I’ve never gotten any of them mixed up.

I’m bad with names in general.

Today was an all right day. I did stuff, but nothing especially unusual or notable.

I just emptied the dishwasher, then put a Polish sausage on to boil. It had a sell by date of November 2011 - I don’t think we’ll die if we eat it. At least, I hope not. Not sure what we’ll l have with it - I’ve got some whomp crescent rolls, cuke salad, and maybe I’ll make mushrooms and onions in sour cream - that’s yummy.

**FCD **is still trying to get his bike going. He had a fuel leak, thanks to a bad o-ring. He just got back from the dealer - with luck, he’ll get his bike started soon. I hope so - he’s been working on it all day. I just ran downstairs and he’s got the seat and the tank off again. Poor guy…

Still only 45° outside - I think that’s below our normal low. But my plants and flowers don’t seem to have suffered too much from the cold last night. Here’s hoping tonight stays above freezing.

I cooked spaghetti squash last night. It was surprisingly good. I sauteed some onion, capers and shrimp to add to it.
I will attempt a cucumber salad tonight.

Tonight’s dinner is probably going to be “tour the leftovers”, since we have stuff in there that really should get eaten soon.

We had that yesterday, followed by “Are all of these plastic containers really ours, and did they ever all fit in the cabinet?”

We’re just about to the point of needing to be mindful of what we have in the freezer so we don’t end up foisting slabs of frozen pork chops and chicken carcasses for making soup onto our friends in July.

Find me too! I’m friends with FCM, let me know if you can’t figure out who I am.

So, the thing with the person on fb actually turned out rather well. She’d been having a bad day and apologized. We’ve actually been chatting off and on all day.

In other news, I have another interview next week!

**Sticky **- if you ever become famous, you’re all ready for the interviews!

Sausage is cooked. Time to do some veggies. Still no sounds of a hog revving. I don’t think my sweetie is very happy right now…

Happy Hump Day, all!

Just got in from an “outing” (I’ve been making a conscious effort to get out and about more frequently as it is good for me) to Hastings and Dollar General. Hastings sells books mainly, but also a lot of other things like DVDs, games, etc. Yes, books are expensive, but they do have a small selection of large print books (which are so much easier for me to read - even when I have reading glasses on, trying to read a book, especially paperback ones, will make my eyes feel strained). And Hastings also offers used books, which are in fairly good condition. To make a long story short (too late! :D), I was able to get 3 large print (paperback) books for under $20! The libraries here seem to have a nice selection of large print books as well, so I continue getting books from the library, but it will be nice to have several books that I can just read at my leisure.

On a related note, I need to find some new books/authors to read! I have just about read myself out of my usual favorite authors, some of them I’ve even read more than once (and that’s all I’ll admit to! LOL). My favorite authors are: Stephen King, Scott Turow, Jonathan and Faye Kellerman, Dean Koontz, James Ellroy, there’s another one whose name is escaping me right now; his first name is Michael, and he writes about the police detective named Hieronymous Bosch. That’s not all of the authors I like and read, but should give a general idea as to what I like. I have discovered a new series that I’ve been reading, it’s by Emily Brightwell, and it’s about a British Police Inspector and his household staff, who help him solve murder cases (unbeknownst to him!); set in the Victorian era of London. So I like murder mysteries, suspense, crime novels, and I’m even open to biographies and histories or historical-related novels. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and Rosie’s .sig to any and all in need.

Dindin has been consumed. ‘Twas good. Nice and comforty. Now I’s all tahrd. The coolish weather today has made da bear sleepified. However, beddy bye is not an option bein’ as I’d be wide awake at one in the a of m if’n I did that.

StickyBuns yay for interview!

We miss you too Drae!

Off to dinner at the place I cannot spell

Cheers

Jim

Koontz is apparently Dean R. Koontz, who wrote some good science fiction a while back. Beast Child is very good.
I like his current Odd Thomas novels.

Supper is done, dishes are done, **FCD **is back downstairs, very unhappy. The paint job on the gas tank sustained some damage. He doesn’t know if he can do a spot repair or if he’ll have to sand it all down and start again. He is not a happy camper. I don’t blame him. Poor guy…

Uh, sorry but Fuck Odd Thomas. I haven’t read the books but I saw the movie and given my own personal history I hated it.

Sorry, kind of crabby right now (as if you couldn’t tell). Mono is still tripping me up, literally and I am so over it all.

I believe Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) would also like too.

Oh, you don’t like. OK.

Ok, all sniffly, sneezey and sinusy. Those are the three dwarves they kept locked in the basement. Takin’ some night night knock out stuff.

Nitey Nite Y’all!
