Off on Monday again, it feels like Saturday. Of course last Saturday felt curiously like Sunday, so I dunno.
In any case I foresee laundry and hockey. Any other Mumper get Moandays off on a regular basis?
First!
I don’t normally get Mondays off. There was a day when I had Sunday - Monday as my weekend, years ago. It wasn’t the worst schedule to work.
I am feeling a bit off myself. Methinks this Monday (today) may be another Saturday for me too…
Because I’m up first. (more insomnia)
I still have so much to do. I need a friend or two to help out. I can’t do squat on my own, but if someone else is here, I get very motivated.
So, how’s your Monday shaping up?
Sickie puppy seems to be better - later yesterday evening, she was back to begging when we had some cake, and this morning, she inhaled her kibbles, so whatever was bothering her tummy seems to have passed. That’s a good way to start the day.
When my sweetie wakes up, we’re off to the gym - I kinda slacked off while he was gone, and of course, he couldn’t go since he wasn’t here. When we get back, I need to do some laundry. Then he’s going to work on the remains of the red shed, and I’m going to work on landscaping around the green shed. The main goal is to move enough rocks to form both gardens. If I have any energy after that, I’ll move some dirt so I can start planting. Oh, yeah, and we need to move 4 concrete planters from the front porch to the shed.
There’s a small chance of rain this afternoon and evening - we’ll see how that plays out. And I need to report my earnings from last year to the retirement folks - they sent me a form to fill out. Since part of my pension is a social security equivalent (till I turn 62 and collect real social security) it’s covered by the same rules. So for every $2 that I earned over $15120, I’ll lose $1. And since I had 6 months of temp work last year, plus the crab monitor money, I’m pretty sure I’ll lose a chunk this year. Oh well, that’s what savings are for.

Up and off to irk on a Monday. I get a real honest irkweek this week. Next week will probably be six days in a row hell, but let’s not borrow trouble in advance.

I decided to post here since this was the first one started. I did see in the other one that MOOOOOM reported Higgs feelin’ all better this mornin’. I’m glad she is, poor baby.
Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, 'tis Moanday so irk purtification must commence. ICK!

Tis a public holiday here, and I ain’t workin’. There was supposed to be work today, but it got cancelled- the football team at which Stuff Happened on Sattiday was supposed to be playing their main rivals as a charity fun match. It was decided that given the circumstances, the wrong kind of fun would be had by the wrong people, so it’s off.
Hopefully, seein’ as the weather ain’t too bad for the Yoo Kay, I’ll spend most of the day down the allotment, as I ain’t made it down there for a week. The grass needed cutting when I left, so if I ain’t back by evening, send a guy called Stanley with a pith helmet and machete to find me.
No irk for me today either as it is a public holiday here. Not sure what I will do with myself but there will be cooking, exercise and laundry at some point. And cat-fussing. There’s always cat-fussing.
It’s my first Monday as a free, FREE! (insert maniacal laugh here) self-employed person. It feels weird knowing that I won’t have to call deadbeats to remind them to pay their damn loans back. Speaking of, maybe I should start an “Ask the Former Student Loan Debt Collector” thread. It also feels weird knowing that I have to get off my butt and actually do work for clients who hired me on purpose.

Concert was great though. Getting kicked in the head and getting a slight black eye by a crowd surfer, not so much.

I’m off today too! I work 4 days on and 4 days off, so it works out to having Mondays off half the time.
Getting ready to head to the vet for a Tasha follow up, and I get a hair or two cut this afternoon. If I can find a food truck somewhere in between those times, I’ll chow down.
My mom’s best friend always used to say “Guess I’ll have to ask for a couple more hours at work” when they had unexpected expenses come up. It’s nice when that’s an option.
Back from the gym - first load on the line, second in the washer. **FCD **is rinsing the dishes and I’ll put them in the dishwasher when he’s done. I’m caffeinating at the moment - I was really struggling at the gym to do my 30 minutes on the bike. I just wanted to go back to bed. Six hours isn’t enough sleep for me. Gotta go to bed early tonight. Dunno when I’ll get outside to do those chores - later, when it warms up a bit, I guess.
Good morning all. Got the whole garden stuff in over Saturday and Sunday: tomatoes (5 different types - but don’t ask me to tell you what they are), bell peppers, zucchini, kale, Swiss chard (2 different colors), spinach, radishes, cucumbers, carrots and we put a couple of spaghetti squash plants out front in the ornamental garden. I hope the neighborhood hooligans don’t think those are for them.
We’re getting the people who screwed up installing the siding on our house seven years ago to come out today and fixed everything that they did wrong. They are even replacing the siding on the front of the house because of a manufacturer’s defect that causes white circles to appear on the surface. This is going to take about four days, and all we have to pay is $150 for them to replace the porch supports - which is how this whole nightmare started. This time, the wife will be there to supervise the siding monkeys (we were both working when it was first done, and they worked mostly unsupervised.

I know this is really an ATMB question but does anyone know why posting times aren’t consistent. When signed out, his posting time shows 11:46, when logged in it shows 9:46.
