Yawn
So, the Braves learned to hit again. Oh, they did it in Denver. Hmm…
Kyla: I’ll be a Giants fan this weekend, don’t worry.
Magic number remains at 42. Lead drops to 1 game.

WTF does class and being a Philadelphia sports fan have to do with each other? We have no class, and we are proud. When the Eagles fans booed Santa Claus, my only regret was that I was stuck watching the game at home.
Sua
Nice spin you put on it. I noticed you don’t comment that Milwood throws shutout ball through 7+ innings at Coors field…He threw 89 pitches – 70 of which were strikes. Nah, that’s not worth mentioning…
We just went through our worst slump in 5 years, and we’re now out of it. And what did the Phils manage to do during that stretch? To pull two games ahead?! And that’s now one game? ::giggle::
So what? If the Mets go 41 and 0, we can still make the playoffs!
Keep in mind that you had to go to Denver to learn how to hit again (we’ll see what happens this weekend in the House that Bonds Built), and well, it’s not like the Phillies weren’t three games back when you started your little slump.
Yeah, Sua, you guys famously booed Santa. Actually I thought that was classy, in a sleazy kind of way, and I might have joined in. But booing Mike Schmidt? I’d rather boo the Pope.
Once again,
Braves win, Phils lose!
Y’know, you can go and start a thread called
The Braves are finally in first place in the Nat’l League East standings!!!
and leave us Phils Phans alone.
Of course, I doubt that thread would last for three and a half months and 107 posts, but you can try.
Oh, Boo-F’n-Hoo, Montfort.
I did that back several weeks ago when we were closing in on the lead the first time, and you bitched there:
.
So which is it?
Or, is it that you can dish it out just fine but can’t take it at all?
Oh, and this just in:
The Braves win. Again.
Have fun with the red-hot Cards tonight!
Yes, kids, it’s that time again: time to bump this thread. Just moments ago, the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the New York Mets in 11 innnings, 9-6. Earlier this evening, the Atlanta Braves barely showed up in getting beaten 7-0 by les Montreal Expos.
So, that brings the Phightin’ Phils back into a phirst place tie with The Team That Forgot To Hit, the Braves.
Magic number is now 32. Believe!
