There’s no real value in my setting this one up in blank verse form. it already stands proud in its incoherent glory:

I’ve been thinking about a good place to post a trump quote from a recent Vegas campaign appearance that caused me to do a hearty eye-roll, from this article.

The ‘Schadenfreude’ thread? No, not quite a good fit. The outrage thread? Better, but it’s not really outrageous by trump standards. This quote from the article stood out to me for its absolute ironic cluelessness and lack of self-reflection. So, I think this thread is perfect.

trump is saying that, now that Pence has dropped out of the Presidential race, he should throw his support to trump, but the ungrateful jerk probably wouldn’t, purely out of spite just because of that little ‘hang Pence’ thing.

So, without further ado, the trump quote presented as poetry:

Because I had a great successful presidency,
and he was the vice president,

I chose him, made him vice president.
But … people in politics can be very disloyal.
