Poor kitty; but maybe he just has a cat cold; it’s the time of year for it. {{{magdalene’s kitty}}}
Good for you on the guitar lessons; I only just play well enough to accompany myself singing, but it’s so satisfying to play an instrument.
Work was a bear yesterday; I ended up editing and proofing for 16 hours straight, with a huge long story – full of exciting corporate earnings stats! – straggling in at 8:30pm. Copy editor’s axiom: The longest story by the worst writer invariably comes in last.
I’m co-directing a play for the local community theatre group called “Lover’s Leap” . It is far from the finest work ever created for the theatre. Co-directing in this case means the lead director does things his way and I get stuck following the dialogue. It’s supposed to be a learning position, but I’m not learning a lot because the lead director thinks that director and dictator are similar for a reason. I think I would never co-direct again unless the person I’m working with is willing to share responsibility, etc. I might want to direct again, but I’m happier acting or working backstage.
Man, I’m excited. After tonight, we’ve got two more shows, one tomorrow and one saturday. After that we’re done, but I’ve only got three days to get my solo piano piece ready for the performing arts club concert on Tuesday. Then lots of tests and papers, since it’s the end of the term, and then God knows what else. Ah well…still happy about tonight!
