sari if’n it got done it matters not if’n it was while when you’re on your butt or your feet.
It’s cold out but warm in da cave. OYKW made it over to the wilds of West Alabammy. He’s had pre-Turkey Day pee-kahn pie, so all is well.
Jim, Go You!

I should contribute to the mumper recipe blog thingy sometime.
your rainbow almond cookies
Yes I could do that. Rosie and 3 other Dopers have had my rainbow almond cookies. I’m kind of too busy to type out the recipe today, though, because I’ll be busy making other cookies.
I think it’s time to assume the position. Dunno if I’ll be able to check in tomorrow, but if I don’t, travelers be safe, diners don’t over-do too much, and non-feasters have a loverly day!
MWAH!!
I worked, I hit the grocery store. It didn’t even bother me.
I like this Sweedish Chef bit.
I once had a woman throw herself at me because I did her dishes.
And scream away, hope Turkey Day isn’t too bad.
And Catholics.
Wait, da Bear is GAY?!?![]()
I’s tahrd. I shall take my rumoredly gay self to bed and watch teevee until sleepy time.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
That is indeed a quality bit.
Hey - it occurred to me that we haven’t seen **Spidey **in a while. Anyone know what’s up with him?
Since we already have three dead dads who play dominos, maybe we can find them a fourth to make up a table?
Yesterday at work, I saw that one of the printers had gone mad and was spewing unprinted pages; I warned IT so they could fix it. Later I walked by and found three women pondering the printer, and told them of its madness and that healthcare was on the way. They proceeded to exclaim “aha! Told you it hadn’t been MY document!” and make magical passes over it while mumbling things along the way of “printer… priiiinteeer… tell me what’s bothering you…” and “oh demon leave this instrument that I may continue my work…”
Happy Thanksgiving, Americans! I hope y’all who are celebrating it have an entertaining, drama-free celebration, and those who aren’t don’t get too irritated by the first bunch.
Going near a grocery store on the day before Thanksgiving is not the wisest of ideas.
Of course, neither is buying a frozen turkey on the day before Thanksgiving if you’re planning to serve it the next day. No, that wasn’t me, it was other shoppers at said grocery store.
MY Birdzilla was procured last Thursday (a week before it was going to be needed) and has been peacefully thawing on the bottom shelf of the fridge since then.
I might try that. ![]()
I just got word my Uncle Mike died this afternoon.
oh, I’m sorry, doggio.

Thanks, guys. I’m soooo looking forward to graduation.
I just got off the phone with RT. It’s kind of a tease. He’s in Ohio tonight and will be in Cleveland tomorrow, but only briefly before he’s on his way down south. So, there’s no chance that I could go see him before he leaves even though I’ll be in the Cleveland area, too. Ah well, there’s always facetime.
Dinner with the HFUNs is on, though, so I’m looking forward to that.
Happy Thanksgiving and good night.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
(((((Doggio)))))
Happy Thanksgiving, to those of you that celebrate it. Happy Thursday t the rest of us! I went to the pub with friends last night, fun was had and beer was imbibed. Good times. Now I have to irk.
Cap’n - when should I expect to get my invite to the housewarming party?
Happy Turkey Day!
although not really a happy day for turkeys.
It’s a dark too cold for November 29 degrees outside with a projected high of 37. I am thankful I don’t need to go outside today.
I’m up too early, again. It’s too friggin hot in here to sleep but too cold to open my window.
I’ll fall back asleep in a while, them oversleep for irk and be all groggy.
I might bitch about stores being open and people having to work today, but I love my job and am thankful for it. Being able to work from home and not having to deal with icky weather and traffic is the best. There are days the customers make me want to bang my head, but overall it is the best job I have ever had.
I hope the people who do have to work today are fairly compensated, like being paid triple time.
I’m thankful I no longer deliver newspapers. Turkey day was a big issue for me as we had to deliver the Turkey Papers. The ones full of ads that weighed close to 5 pounds each. Not only did it take half the day, it also took multiple trips (most cars and light trucks won’t hold 550-600 5 pound papers) and it cost me more money in gas that I was actually paid to deliver them.
I may bitch a lot about my family, but I am thankful that I do have a place to spend Thanksgiving. One friend called me yesterday, he and his young son have no place to go. Another friend has nobody to celebrate with. When I get a place of my own they will always have someplace to go and somebody to celebrate with.
I may bitch about the mice, but I’m thankful I have a bed to sleep in and a house to live in.

There are black ice warnings. Driving into irk should be interesting.

I’ve got an Uncle Mike who’s 92 and I think he’s in the early stages of dementia. I expect he’ll be joining Aunt Jean before too long, and that will be the last of that generation on that side of the family. Mortality sucks sometimes…
In happier news, the rain has stopped and the sky is clear. However, because the sky is clear, the temp is about 25° and at my mom’s, the forecast is for a high of 34°. I’m going out on a limb and guessing that we won’t be eating around the pool.
But my pies are ready to go, as are 3 boxes of ornaments for my sister and a bag of knitted/crocheted items, as well as another bag of clean take-out bowls and lids so Mom doesn’t have to use her tupperware and hope to get it back when she’s doling out leftovers.
Higglet is cuddling with **FCD **in bed. I’ve loaded the dishwasher, cleaned and refilled the cat box, and changed out the trash bag under the sink after hauling the full bag to the garage. Pretty efficient for this ridiculous hour of the morning, eh? Speaking of Higglet, she gets to meet a new canine cousin - my sister has a new pup that we haven’t seen yet. Add to the mix my other sister’s greyhound and 2 cockers - it’s going to be a doggy Thanksgiving!! Fortunately, Mom has a big house and the dogs usually stay upstairs while we all eat in the basement, so it should be a relatively peaceful meal. Maybe.
Happy Turkey one and all!!
