The Really Bad Cookies and Other Stuff MMP

Alternate brownie in a mug recipe: Buy No-Pudge Brownie mix (Trader Joe’s has their own version which is just as good). Mix 2 TBS. brownie mix with 1 TBS vanilla yogurt and nuke. One serving may not be enough.

I won $100 Visa gift card at a work raffle. W00T me! I plan on using it for vacay stuff.

Happy Thorsday!

It is exactly zero degrees above freezing outside.
It looks windy.

Sah-pup must be channeling FCM.

He went out at 10pm, woke me 11:30pm, woke me at 3am, woke me at 8am.
I needed to get up at 8 anyway, but I feel like hell. The only way I can get back to sleep is to start watching a show I’m interested in, then I know I’ll fall back asleep 5 minutes before it ends. The harder I try to stay awake the faster I’ll fall asleep.

Thank you for the brownie recipe. I wonder if we have unsweetened cocoa around here.

Too weird, I’m watching a squirrel chase a robin across the front yard. I don’t know why the robin keeps hopping instead of flying away, or why the squirrel is chasing it anyway.

Are you familiar with the saying, “You can’t buy beer, you can only rent it.”?

Being married to a diabetic, that was one of my first thoughts. Glad to hear that you’re sure you’re healthy.

Re the “Rusted out w/h vent”; the vent is made from zinc, which does not rust.

:dubious:

Which, of course, is why zinc may be contained in sunscreen, to keep us from rustin’ whilst we are out in the sun,

Zinc may not rust per se, but it does corrode. Boats use zincs on their hulls because they’ll corrode before the steel of shafts and propellers - it’s got to do with dissimilar metals and electrical currents, and possibly even brussels sprouts (OK, maybe not them) - anyway, there ya go.

Well, it is a known fact that [del]fart blossoms[/del] brussels sprouts are the source of all that is evil, rotten and just plain ick.

{{Those who want one}}

It’s a nice sunny day here, but I’m barely noticing 'cos I’ve been hit with a spring-cleaning urge.

Perhaps the sun is just highlighting how much complete junk I’ve been hoarding, and triggering the attempt to try and muck it all out- it all built up when I was having back trouble, and even though it’s been OK for the last year, it’d reached the level where it was a lot easier to pretend it wasn’t there, and just find safe paths through the swamp. Ugh.

Still, progress is finally being made.

On the plus side, I’ve found quite a few nice things I’d forgotten about

You’re thinking of flash drives.

A sacrificial anode?

Nuts, the other option is to just pull the shade down so the sun don’t shine in.

Brilliant!

Then I’d just trip over everything

Maybe I should do that and just get me a guide bat.

UGH!!! Why the hell can’t I find an apartment???

Dunno, maybe I should get you a guide bat too

make it a guide cat, and we’ll talk

So glad to know this, because the nutritional data on the recipe I posted was not pretty!

Thanks for the hugs, all.

Along with that one can also not turn on any lights and keep a flashlight handy for when you need to see to get from one room to another. The dirt amazingly disappears in the dark!

I am taking a break and eating an orange. My keyboard will be sticky. I don’t care - I need a break.
