The Really Bad Cookies and Other Stuff MMP

Home, have laundried and made chili. I was going to pick up my hold at the library today, but all I did was remind myself why I do not go downtown on Saturdays. :smack::mad::mad::mad::smack: It’ll still be there Monday. I’m still annoyed.

I made eggrolls and hot and sour soup when Mrs. Plant v.3.0 AKA Hutch came home.

Leftover spaghetti that I also had for breakfast for dinner.

Why are they called eggrolls? WTF do they have to do with eggs?

Howdy Y’all! I am at da cave, all worn out from the festivities. A good time was had by all. All the food got et and well over half of the green beer keg got drained. Ok, probably will continue to get drained out of kidneys durin’ the night.

That bein’ said, time for da bear to go nighty nite. Must be up in the mornin’ for deheathenization, especially bein’ as da bear is a Lector (the readin’ not the cannibal kind) tomorrow.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

P.S. If’n I remember tomorrow, I shall tell y’all a tale of less than saintly words bein’ said and the idea of “Extra Special Confesssion” as a new Sacrament.

These contractions won’t stop. I am getting worried

{{{{{{Apes}}}}}}}

Apelette, look, you don’t want to come out yet. It’s still chilly outside. Wait a couple of months until it gets warmer and then you can come out. Late spring is much better than early spring, trust me.

I started a thread about it in MPSIMS. Any advice or good vibes in that thread would be appreciated. Thanks everybody! I can’t link it cause I’m on my phone right now, but if somebody can link the thread that would be fantastic. I’m just sittin here resting trying to think happy thoughts

I paid money to not make anyone pregnant, and have no idea what is going on, but if you have contractions so early, is not a visit to the hospital emergency room in order?

She went yesterday, and they sent her home. They really don’t want people at the delivery room until they’re ready to drop.

Which explains why my daughter was born about five minutes after they dragged a doctor into the delivery room.

Are you doing the OT lesson from Isaiah? 'Cause that’s the one I’m reading tomorrow.

Irk went extra innings. Missed a bad hockey game.

Happy Birthday Pearl!!!

Baker!!! : tackle hug :

Flytrap, one of my hockey buddies is named Hutch. you had me confused for a sec.

Yea, like Ethi said, it’s complicated. You go in early and they just send you home just to have you come back a few days later ready to go. You go in too late and there is the greater risk of complications. There really is no right timing to go to the hospital to have a baby. Plus labor from time of admission to time of actually having the baby can be a few days, and I am not willing to do that, no sir. I better be in active, IT’S NOW OR NEVER, type labor before I rush to the hospital again. It may sound silly but I can’t risk scaring my children for no good reason and my husband will have to watch them and worry about me until he can find someone to watch them for us, so I would be there alone and scared. It takes time to find a suitable baby sitter, and I worry about my family. It sucks we don’t live anywhere close to family. :frowning:

{{{Apes}}} - hope things have settled down since you last posted.

I’m up ridiculously early because the idiot dog is up ridiculously early. I promised **FCD **last night that I’d deal with her this morning so he could take the painkillers that knock him out. He overdid it yesterday and his back was aching last night, and his only remaining pain meds knock him out. So here I am, because I’m nice, dammit! :stuck_out_tongue:

We went to Texas Roadhouse before the show, and we were seated as soon as we walked in! I love how they handle call-ahead seating! So much better than the idiots at Longhorn, where I don’t intend to dine ever again. My only complaint was that we were barely halfway thru our salads when they brought out our entrees - poor timing, especially since we had a lot of time to kill and were in no hurry. Oh well…

Since we had tons of time afterwards, we braved the wilds of WalMart to get me a wall clock for my studio. I scored a cheapie for about $5 - yay! I can’t wear a watch while up to my elbows in clay, so now I’ll know when it’s time to quit.

The play was meh, but then it was community theater. Apparently the director told anyone who wasn’t speaking a line to stand stiff as a board until it was their turn to talk. The guy playing Richard decided the best way to show his rage was to keep his fists constantly clenched - both of us noticed that. The girl playing Alais spent a lot of time furrowing her brow. The king delivered all of his lines the same way, whether ranting at his sons or telling Alais that he loved her. The woman who played Eleanor was the best of the pack, and that’s not saying a whole lot, but she did seem to have a bit of range. Unfortunately, she also had a horrible makeup crew - when she removed her headdress, they suggested gray hair by glopping several white streaks around her face and randomly on the rest of her head. But all in all, I think it was worth $15 each.

Scene changes were kinda cool - the stage rotated and it was divided into 3 sectors. Again, for an amateur group, they did a decent job. The theater building was a church at one time and I’m pretty sure the space where they had the stage and the seating had been the main auditorium of the church. There were only 6 rows of seats and they were on risers, so there was literally not a bad seat in the house. And it was open seating, so you got what you could when you arrived.

Their next production is Godspell, which is one of my favorites. I haven’t decided if I’ll let them ruin it for me or not.

Doggie had finally calmed a bit and she’s chewing on random toys when she’s not wandering around. *Someone *left the watermaker on all night, so there’s a few puddles on the basement floor. I know the last thing I said before “good night” was “You turned the water off, right?” At least some of the overflow went down the drain line. Unfortunately, *someone *hasn’t yet sealed the place where the overflow line attaches into the tank, so it leaks… all over my washer…

Other than that, it’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

Happy Sunday. And I ain’t wearing green 'cause I ain’t of Irish extraction, so :stuck_out_tongue:

WTF??? There’s snow on the ground this morning! We’re just a few days away from Spring! WTH???

Oh, Bobbio, wherefore art thou Bobbio? I’ve heard it said that the pen is mightier than the sword, so I need you to write one of you (in)famous letters because I’m about to run the numbnuts at the water company thru with a sword! Except that’s probably too good for them, I’m thinking drawn & quartered is a better way to go…for starters!
A little Dutch boy doesn’t have enough fingers to plug all of the water leaks they caused yesterday!
There will probably be a Pit post started, but not until I can talk to someone there tomorrow because there’s more to come in this saga.

In other news, Happy Get Drunk & Act Stupid Day. (<-- even the smilies are green)

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienated and all brekkied even! 'Tis 52 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 74 and sunny for the day. Nice!

Baker I am readin’ the lesson from Isaiah. I like it because there are no weird words plus it’s short and sweet. I like short and sweet.

**
ERIN GO BRAGH!!!
**

Had to get that out of the way.

Later I shall regale y’all with a tale of less than saintly words and “Extra Special Confession.” As a teaser YP told me that just when he thinks I could not possibly get any weirder I prove him wrong every time.

Ok, need to purtify for deheathenization and run by Sam’s to tank up twuck. I want to do it this mornin’ cause it’s Sunday and it’s usually easy to get in and out on Sunday mornin’.

Happy Sunday and St. Patrick’s Day Y’all!

Just one “good vibes” anecdote. I have a friend who gave birth at about 30 weeks. (There was RH incompatibility.) Her daughter was in the hospital for 64 days but is now a happy, healthy two-year-old.

Hang in there, Apes and Apelet.

Better yet if ERIN GO BRALESS!!!

**Apes **-- sticky thoughts. What worked for us when my wife was about to have the twins (and I don’t know if this is relevant to you as LDS…) was just a small glass of wine when they threatened to charge out NOW!!

Nuts – have you no shame? You enjoyed your roomie getting caught in the rain entirely too much! You’re an evil person!
… I like evil people…

Happy belated, Janis/Pearl!

Erin go Bragh!!

i’m up and caffeinated. Laundry the working the UNC-TV telethon today.

Happy Sunday!

It is 8 degrees above freezing, dreary looking outside.

Happy St Paddys Day!

I have been a totally lazy slug this weekend and I don’t even care.
I haven’t irked at all except to putter around the house.

I need one of those desktop filer thingies that cost so much money, except I know I’d still keep all the hard copies of everything anyway.
