The Republican Party is the Party of Evil

Couldn’t decide which thread this should go in, but Florida–a state where mask mandates are outlawed and one that is being pummeled by delta–has just requested a shit-ton of ventilators from the federal government.

“Oh, sorry - Mr. Abbot was flagellating himself for whatever ventilators we might have had left, yesterday. Hey, really - sorry - love, peace and hair grease.”

The equipment won’t do any good if they don’t have the staff trained to use them. I’m betting it won’t be a week before DeSantis tries to do what Abbot is doing and hiring traveling medical personnel. Who likely won’t be available.

No no no. As I said in another thread…

Texas gets extra medical personnel from Arkansas. Arkansas gets them from Missouri. Missouri gets them from Florida. And Florida gets them from Texas.

It’s win-win!

Yeah, I get pretty outraged when people throw children in harm’s way for no good reason. I agree that this conduct only outrages those who oppose DeSantis and the like, but that says it all about their supporters.

DeSantis/Kodos 2024

I don’t think Kodos would sink that low. He’s not that evil.

Grifting off the stupidity of his constituents

That’s right. Own it!

Finally we have found some common ground with Republicans on something we can all agree on.

“Look kids. It’s a moron.”

‘At least speel it wright!’

He just had to be Cardinals fan.

Curious that the solution the reprehensible protagonist proposes to the intelligent rich elites, is to kill the less intelligent population.

There was no need for someone to photoshop that; the actual photo is ridiculous enough on its own.

Another Republican, another kiddy-diddler. This time with apparent sex trafficking so OTHERS can diddle kiddies, too. Oops.

Brought up the ‘evil’ issue in another thread:

Surprise, surprise. A change to the 2017 tax cut, championed by Ron Johnson, benefitted two of his biggest donors. In a huge way.

Confidential tax records, however, reveal that Johnson’s last-minute maneuver benefited two families more than almost any others in the country — both worth billions and both among the senator’s biggest donors.Dick and Liz Uihlein of packaging giant Uline, along with roofing magnate Diane Hendricks, together had contributed around $20 million to groups backing Johnson’s 2016 reelection campaign. The expanded tax break Johnson muscled through netted them $215 million in deductions in 2018 alone, drastically reducing the income they owed taxes on. At that rate, the cut could deliver more than half a billion in tax savings for Hendricks and the Uihleins over its eight-year life.

That’s a pretty good return on investment. I do facilities work and we avoid Uline for other reasons. Now I have a new reason.
